Found a dealer who matched the rebate price I would have got on an 07. Gave me mudguards and carpet mats... 2008 White GLS MT for $14400 OTD on 9/30/07 (No rebates) 1 other dealer matched the price. Another offered me $15500 OTD (rebate included) for an 07. He said there was "No Way" I'd get an 08 for $14400 That I'd get to the dealership and they'd bump it up on me. Dealership was honest and true. Southern States in Raleigh, NC. Does anyone know how much the extended warranty should go for? It doesn't really seem necessary. Also how much should oil changes cost? Thanks, Z. |

Oh yeah. I forgot the above included: Option Package 02/AB Popular Equipment Package Includes vehicle with standard equipment, air conditioning, 172-watt AM/FM stereo, XM satellite radio, single disc CD player, MP3 playback, tweeters, auxiliary input jack, in-glass antenna, fog lights, cruise control, dual illuminated vanity mirrors and windshield shade band. OTD for $14400 |

Replying to: zcore (Oct 04, 2007 6:18 pm) I don't know what the going rate is for an oil change in NC. In the Twin Cities, $25 +/- is pretty common, including inspections and fluid top-offs. But it's also common for dealers, including my local Hyundai dealer, to give you free oil changes for life if you buy a new car there. |

Replying to: alamocity (Oct 04, 2007 7:35 pm) Last year I paid about $1200 for what amounts to five years and 55,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper, zero deductible, transferable coverage on a five-year-old Mazda MPV. And it was effective immediately, not in five years as is the Hyundai extended warranty. So I think $1600 for a zero-deductible warranty on a compact car that kicks in five years from now and amounts to five years and 40,000 miles of coverage is pretty steep.

Sounds like a steal. Should I be suspicious about it being sold for so cheap when MSRP is over $16K?
