Replying to: newhartford (Apr 17, 2007 11:31 am) I could do without fog lamps (use them maybe once every couple of years) and a high-powered stereo, but I consider safety features like ABS, 4-wheel disc brakes, and EBD essential in a modern car. Also I consider power windows very useful on a 4-door car. I would like to see a telescopic wheel added as standard equipment across the board. Then I could make do with a GLS instead of the SE, although I really like the look of the 16" alloys and appreciate the interior upgrades on the SE--but I can live without them. |

I'm shopping for the 2007 Hyundai Elantra (My 99' Elantra was totalled last week) and I seem to have been offered a fantastic deal. But is it too good to be true? I was offered the Elantra SE + remote start + an upgrade from the 5 yr/60,000 bumper to bumper to 10 yr/100,000 bumper to bumper. All that for $15,400. Now, I'm not stupid and I checked out with other dealerships to see if they would either better the deal, say its a good buy or if its crap. They ALL said its crap Of course I called back to confront my salesperson who ENSURES me that that is the price, with the additional items and no extra hidden costs. (I know about the DMV fees and such) WHO'S LYING!? Someone is and I would like to know who you think it is. Help? Oh and BTW - after reading the thread.... whats this extra $500 if you finance through Hyundai? They never told me that. And is or isn't the Loyalty still in place in New York. They're telling me no...... some of you on here are saying yes. I'M SOOOOO CONFUSED!! HELP HELP HELP! I just want a honest buy! |

If they have changed, just stand up and leave the dealership. |

I requested several quotes from local area Hyundai dealers on a 2007 Elantra Limited, automatic. So far ive had 2 replys. One quote came in at invoice price, but he said he would not be undersold. The other guy quoted me at $17038 (before tax, tag, doc fees)plus I get my $1000 rebate. Sticker on this car is $18485. I have a question, how valid is this email quote? Or should I go to the dealer and get the quote in writing? I plan on writing the other dealer(s) and seeing if they will go lower (since they "will not be undersold"). Second question, from what ive read on these boards this looks like a pretty good price, is it? It seems hard to find any SE's or Limited's in my area (the South). |
