Looking for someone who's been shopping for an Elantra SE in Massachusetts. I did my homework and thought I could get one for under $16k OTD (including tax), but the lowest quote I could get was for a GLS for $15,300 +TT. Salesman didn't seem willing to negotiate. What is the lowest quote to expect for an SE (automatic, AC, power windows/doors)? I'm paying cash and I don't have lots of it. Thanks.

But if he says yes, give him the money and drive your new car home. Forget about asking for "quotes". You don't need no steeenking "quotes". No one does. |

Also, saw a new Elantra in the dark gray color and I think it looks the best on this car. A red stripe would make it look awesome. If you find the exact car you want, make an OTD offer and see what happens. Tomorrow is the end of the month and they just might want to push another unit out the door. The Sandman

Towne Hyundai is about 30 to 45 minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge. I just checked Edmund's reported invoice price. Including floor mats, the Elantra SE is $16880 before TTL & doc fee. Take off $2K (or $2500 w/ loyalty) and you'll be very close to that $16K. If necessary, finance $1K for a year. The finance charges won't be very much (although APR may look real high, due to fixed cost built into the loan). |
