Got floormats though!   MSRP: $19745   $16851 Sell price + $1549 tax & misc fees - $1000 manufacturer rebate - $500 valued owner rebate - $400 college grad rebate   There's a $500 military rebate too, but too bad no one in my family was in the service.

Looking for someone who's been shopping for an Elantra SE in Massachusetts. I did my homework and thought I could get one for under $16k OTD (including tax), but the lowest quote I could get was for a GLS for $15,300 +TT. Salesman didn't seem willing to negotiate. What is the lowest quote to expect for an SE (automatic, AC, power windows/doors)? I'm paying cash and I don't have lots of it. Thanks. Replying to: sharon15 (Mar 29, 2007 8:24 pm) Did you ACTUALLY make the dealer a written offer on a specific car to buy at $16,000 out the door? If you have not yet done that, do it. If he says no, then walk out the door, get into your old car and drive to the next Hyundai dealer. But if he says yes, give him the money and drive your new car home. Forget about asking for "quotes". You don't need no steeenking "quotes". No one does.
