Has anyone else installed after market body (door) side mouldings? What has your experience been so far? I understand there is a rather slimline set available on ebay, which comes colour matched. There have been a couple of posts here of people purchasing those. Have you been satisfied and have they actually managed to save your doors from dings so far?

I have installed the aftermarket moldings from E-bay on a 2009 Elantra. The process was simple and they look stock. Paint was exact to match and ordering was easy. Just follow instructions and have someone help you align the molding strips when installing as once you stick them on, your stuck. --Jack

They are not very thick or wide, although they look good but are about half as wide as the 2006 Elantra moldings that came from the factory. I used the product from Sportwing.com available through E-bay. They're better than nothing and look factory, so I think it's worth it. --Jack

Greetings to all!
Just got an 09 Elantra SE. Did the C4C and got a really nice car.
The base models all had a radio in the ~$1700 upgrade that had a USB port.
The salesman said the SE model had the upgraded radio. Never really checked, but mine doesn't have the USB port. Even the literature from Hyundai mentions the USB port.
 
Does anyone else's SE only have the AUX port? I contacted HMA, but never got a response back.

I also have an 09 SE, the change to the head end unit with the USB AND Aux inputs was a "running change", all the '09s made before March or April of 09 have the 08 electronics and only the Aux input. Another way to spot the differences: the XM antenna on an 08 is a relatively 'flat module' on the roof, if you truly have 09 electronics that antenna is a mini shark fin shape. BTW even though I bought my car only 2 weeks ago, it was made in Oct. 08 and, like yours, only has 08 electronics.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder what other changes were made? It kind of svcks because I test drove one and sat in another and they both had the USB port. The one I bought didn't I really didn't pay attention at the time, or I would have purchased one of the other ones.

I'm not sure of what other changes were made, but I do have the USB port and AUX port on '09. I recently had my windows busted out, I have less than 20,000 miles on it and i've already had to replace 2 windows, my Front Windshield and my driver side window. Cost about $630 for that. I'm looking into some engine modifications, anyone have any input on that, or what other modifications on the Engine or the Body can be made easily?
