#306 of 325 need to purchase seat covers for 08 Elantra SE by marlenelin

Jul 08, 2008 (7:30 am)

Does anyone know where I can purchase seat covers for the front and rear seats of an 08 Elantra SE. I've tried several from Pep Boys and they do not fit properly on the front seats, and the rear doesn't fit at all. My interior is light gray and I would like to have the seats covered since my 19 year old daughter will be driving the car, and she is an artist/swimmer/slob. Thanks Marlene

i ordered my mud guards on 6/27 and they were at my door on 7/10. i installed them this afternoon. as others said, i turned the front wheels and installed the front guards. then i took the wheels off for the rears. not too bad. actually was good to be familiar with how to remove the wheels on the car; however, pretty much no different than other cars. i installed the guards and even got a good cleaning on the rims while the wheels were off- wow it's easy that way.

enjoy.

Do you have to drill holes or just remove the screws currently there and put the mud guards in place?

no hole drilling- just removing and replacing screws like you said. there is on screw that comes with an anchor type thing for the bottom screw of the rear guard. you'll see why you have to use that one. everything was extremely easy.

#310 of 325 rain guards by jessie14

I have replaced my rain guards at least 3 times. No matter what I do it seems to fall off. I have used “special” glue, “special” double-sided tape, and cleaned the area where I would eat off it…everything! Does anyone else have problems with their rain guards or is it just me?

#311 of 325 Hitch on 2008 Elantra by ez888

Jan 12, 2009 (5:39 pm)

I am looking to get a hitch on my 2008 Elantra to only use it for a bike rack. I already have a trunk rack that I use, but would prefer a hitch rack as you still have easy access to the trunk.

I looked online and found some affordable hitches. Anyone install one? Or anyone go through your dealer for one? I'm thinking Class 1 is good enough. Am I right?

Thanks!
Eric

Here is one place you can look: Maintenance Schedules, Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins.

Hope this helps.
