1010tires has a tire size calculator that you can input the make of your vehicle and it will help determine fit.

2009 Silverado fuel consumption by canayjun64

Hi everyone,

I just bought my very first "new" truck yesterday. A lovely 2009 Silverado with a 5.3 litre engine.

Seeing that this is my first new vehicle, I have a question in rergards to break-in periods and gasoline consumption.

I've only driven 100km (60 miles) and the tank is down 1/4 from a full tank. Now I might sound a bit paranoid but is this normal or will this consumption get better as the engine slowly breaks-in?

Can anyone help?

I had a similar problem with my truck and it turned out to be a damaged spark plug wire

Hello everyone,

So i decided to make my first truck a little older and bought a 1995 chevy pickup its engine is in good condition but has very high mileage almost 191 thousand. i was planning on rebuilding an engine to put in it when i get the money. i was wondering what for engine is suggested in this year. it has a 4.3L V6 in it now.

Deffinatly put a 350 in it, most full size truck from the 60's up through the 90's had 350 engines in them, depending on how you build it, your can go for gas mileage, pulling power and torque, or speed, a 350 is a great all around engine and they're tough and durable, and if you ever need parts, there are so many of them out there that parts are allways right at hand. Hope this helps but then again this is just my opion.
Thanks Chris
