I should have posed this question before I made 3 trips to the parts store, trying to find the right Torx socket. 2000 Silverado - front brake calipers: I've tried a T50 (too small) and a T-60 (too big). Is it a T-55? Where/who carries it? Thanks!

I have a 1995 Chevy Silverado 4x4. I have had at to 3 different mechanics. When on the highway and I try to excelerate to pass the truck falls on it's face (cuts out but don't die) then when it gets up to speed it regains power. This also happens at stop signs, idols real rough, but not all the time and it is usually warmed up before it does it. The last 2 mechanics changed the egr valve and thermostat and ran machines on it.

The fuel pump finally gave out because I was too stupid to change the fuel filter. It will clog and you`re ok when you are calling for normal fuel flow. When you accelerate it requires increased volume and cannot push that much thru the filter. If I would have used my head I could have saved myself about $900 bucks (tow, etc.) Fuel filters are cheap and easy. Toolman |
