| 05G35Sedan6mt 50,000mi and was just told the clutch needs replacing. I've had manuals since 73 and the only one I've ever had to do a clutch on was a 72/240Z (funny another Nissan product). There seems to be a bit of issue on early wear but I'd be interested in other mi for replacement? I know 07 had a problem with slave cylinder | |

with 39,000 miles. Dealer asking price is $22K. New to Infiniti. Currently disgruntled Saab owner. I have reading briefly about brake issues on older Infinitis. Is that a problem with this version? Any other thoughts/recommendations?

Replying to: saabinpain (Aug 27, 2008 2:59 pm) If its a Manual Transmission, it has a rough shift between 1st to 2nd in the first 16,000 mile or so. After that its ok. Except for the slightly high price, everything else should be OK. LW |

However, 2005 G35 AWD may not have the same brakes as None-AWD models. Mine is 2005 G35 sedan(not AWD) and so far brakes lasted more than my expectations. My front brake pads are still good at 47k miles! I'd go with 2005 or 2006 G35. At 39k miles, if it has original pads, they are probably close to being replaced. Also, original factory warranty is 4 yr 60k miles. It would be a good idea to find out original sold date to see how much more warranty is still left on a vehicle. Overall Infiniti should be much more reliable than Saab. Maintenance should be cheaper too. Infiniti shares many parts with Nissan and some Nissan dealers will even do regular maintenance service on Infiniti cars at lower prices. Good Luck |

Have some questions about the 2005 G35x. Any problems? Major problems? I have a 06 Jetta and its been in the shop for 18 days in the past month and not a single thing under warrenty so this is why i am looking at a used 2005 G35x with 28k and certified. But I have been reading about a brake problem and some others. What are the typical repairs/costs that owners are dealing with. And please only people who own a 2005 to 2006-07.

Replying to: narenji (Nov 22, 2008 10:02 am) I think that's a good deal. I just bought a 2006 g35 sedan (auto) for 19750 w/ 15K miles. No premium package. I tried to get it for lower, but in the end, we compromised on that price and I really wanted it. For your suzuki, could you sell it for more at Carmax or something? good luck, jin |
