| When I drive with the a/c on, the car hesitates when coming to a slowing stop while applying the brakes. It then quits hesitates when fully stopped and acts normal. This hesitation only happens when the a/c is on. Without the a/c on, the car drives fine. the a/c air is blowing cold air. What could be the problem? | |

| Is this car a stickshift or an automatic? | |
| The computer control chip that monitors the idle speed is a problem with mine, but it has always come back to normal but does cause some tachometer shifts when slowing down or at idle sometimes with A/C on. | |

|
| I was thinking that if this is a stickshift, and IF he's in4th or 5th gear, and IF the idle compensator for the a/c weren't working, the transmission would cause the car to "buck", since it is in such a high gear at such a low near- idle speed. | |

Mr. Shiftright, This is a 4 speed automatic. |

| Oh, well, there goes THAT theory...... | |
| how much does it cost to replace this computer chip typically? and where is it located? | |
