| OEM boards attach to the factory frame, and come with a hardware kit. They use existing holes. Not sure what the weight specs are, the dealer parts dept. may be able to tell you. They're not hard to install...just helps if you're able to get under the vehicle to tighten everything down. The splash guards were cake to install. Some drilling is required, but only into plastic. I did it in my driveway. No need to remove wheels, but you do have to turn the front wheels to their extremes to tighten screws, etc. As for boards vs. tubes, it's just a matter of preference and depends on what type of driving you do... I like the look of the tubes too... | |

Has anyone seen any brush-guards and/or push bars for the Envoy yet. I live in NYC, where pararell parking is quite frequent. I am nervous about others playing bumper cars with my parked vehicle. TIA, Dheeraj |

Scroll up thru the postings here, kismat... manik is one company that makes them and there is a link w/ photos that I listed. I'd like to get a "safari" type bar for the front end for use w/ auxillary lighting, but am waiting to locate a manufacturer and part number. |

A REPOST FROM MAIN FORUM FOR CONVENIENCE! #4475 of 4490 Gmgoodwrench site now has the accessories catalogs. by giddens_john Mar 20, 2002 (01:56 pm) Well except for no Bravada section. There's a conspiracy I guess. I haven't seen these listed here so here they are. For the Trailblazer. http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/accessories/modellistTra.html For the Envoy. http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/accessories/modellistEnv.html I've also added the .pdf versions of the catalogs to my site along with the links. http://users2.ev1.net/~giddens_john/ That's all for now. |

| They are a great investment. I used to install them for M-Benz. Better than Stonegard. The Invinca-shield has relief cuts in portions that meet contours of the body. If you have tinted windows or have mechanical aptitude, you can do this. I did my '98 Audi A4 Quattro and it still looks like brand new. And recently applied a full front-end (deluxe) kit on our 2003 metalic Green Envoy. I even purchased raw material and did the tailgate to keep the wife from scratching the finish with her rings. | |

Has anyone replaced the factory unit with an aftermarket one? Any suggestions? I have K&N's on my other 3 rides and like them. I don't like the open cone systems... too noisy and draw warm air from the engine compartment. I had to laugh when I tore apart the airbox where the air cleaner is. What idiot designed that thing? Enough plastic surrounding the element to float the SUV if it went in the drink. Ha! |

| Intend to purchase 2003 Envoy XL. Hung up on which engine to go with - the 4200-6 or 5300-8. Heard a lot of good things about the 4200 6 cylinder. However concerned if this has enough power for XL version. I will NOT be towing. Appreciate your comments. | |
