Can anyone who has installed the OEM running boards for the 2002 Envoy tell me if it ws very difficult? I am planning on ordering the boards form GMpartsdirect and I am pretty handy. I just don't want to get them if they require drilling/ or any major work or tools. It sounds like it should be pretty simple, but I want to get some 1st hand input. Thanks in advance. You can post on this board or e-mail me at alpesh_jethvayahoo.com.

For the person looking for mudflaps for there Envoy the part numbers are-
12497606
12497607
I had my dealer put them on and they say GMC on them. They are moulded plastic they fit and look good. They help some but don't stop the paint chipping from stone's on the rear lower panel just in front of the rear tire's.

Manik Step Bars by ricklaut

I recently added the Manik step bars to my 2002 Envoy. I love the way they look and how easy they were to mount (5 minutes per side; no drilling using stock tapped holes).

Unfortunately, it was not easy to purchase them.
 - Ordered in August
 - Received in mid October WITHOUT any mounting hardware
 - Received the mounting hardware EXCEPT 6 bolts in early November
 - Received remaining bolts in mid November.

I also removed the "Envoy" trim from the tailgate today (thanks Tim!) and put a 3" chrome / round exhaust tip on (had to cut the end of the stock exhaust tip to make it work).

There is a picture in the picture forum....

AUTOVENTSHADE PART NUMBERS by bryancos
Dec 17, 2001 (12:21 pm)
Reply
Just installed a set of AutoVentShade window visors and taillight covers on my 2002 Envoy. The taillight blackouts really set off the rear of the Envoy since they match the rear fascia that surround the rear glass perfectly. I ordered them thru special orders of carparts.com / jcwhitney.com.

THESE ARE 2002- GMC ENVOY PART NUMBERS ONLY!
Refer to autoventshade.com for particular application.
VentVisor 4Pc set Part number 94802 $54.95
TailShades Part number 33250 $44.95
Slots Taillight Covers Part number 36316 $34.95

(Tailshades are translucent blackouts -- tailights/brake lights shine thru when on -- recommend replacing bulbs w/ halogens)
May be illegal in some locales -- check local laws before ordering!

Invisible Bra?? by paulpro

After seeing the paint destroyed on the front-end of my last two Jimmy's, I'm looking at these "Invisible Bra's" made by Invinca-Shield. It is a clear 3M film. Does anyone have any experience with these?
