Im holding out for 1000 under. One dealer said around christmas he could do it for that. I may just wait Im in no rush.

$1000 under invoice or MSRP? I am LOVING my new 2006 Accord EX V6 with Navi. I got it for more than $1000 under MSRP, but invoice..... wow, my hat is off to you if you can swing that deal just being a regular customer off the street!

Thanks everyone for the great advice. So, going through the internet salesman is the way to go? I'll try it. Car7: do you really think you can get $500 under invoice, no less $1000? That seems a little too good to be true, but if so.....
Smokymtngal: Thanks for your information. $1000 under MSRP sounds more realistic to me, although I'll certainly try to do better. With the 2006's just out now, I'm not sure how good I can do. I'm in no rush. I'll let everyone know how I make out.

It is very unlikely you will ever get a car under invoice without some incentive from the factory (very few dealers will share much of their holdback). It is unlikely Honda will have factory incentive on the 06 Accord for quite some time - doubt it before the end of the year.

Hello Everyone. Just an FYI for those who are bargain hunting. I was offered $17,519 plus fees on a 2005 Honda Accord LX SE AT Coupe. The dealers have about $1,250 in marketing money plus are willing to dip into their 2 - 3 % hold back to move the old metal. So you should be able to buy a 2005 Accord for at least $1,250 below invoice. Actually, I would shoot for $1,750 - $2,000 depending on the car and options. I think I am getting about $1,750 below at just got sick of haggling. I got this bid in the bay area of CA. Good luck and happy shoping all!!!

A local dealer has a what I think to be a good deal trying to move the 2005's off the lot. After dealing with Crown Honda in Greensboro, NC via the internet, I picked up my 2005 EX-L w/XM Sedan. Here are the details:

Sticker (MSRP) $27365.00
Discount $4565.97
Sale Price Subtotal $22799.03
Tax (3%) $683.97
Title/Tag $57.00
DOC Fee $399.00
OTD $23939.00

I tried to get the DOC fee waived, but I felt the $22799 was a good price.

Sound like a deal on par w/other's 2005 Accord experiences?

Hi guys,
I was offered via internet by one of the Bay Area dealerships for a 2006 Honda Accord LX-V6 for $23450 plus fees.
OTD price is $26250 incl splash guards, wheel lock and floor mats.
Is that a good offer or should I try to get the price down a little bit? Thanks.
