purchased 05 accord lx/4dr/at for 17,650 + destination. add dealer processing $100, tags $195, and 5% md sales tax. total OTD $19,399. cash sale. got the black color i wanted. price included 3 other items: 1. free lifetime oil changes 2. appearance package (already on the car) dealer did not want to remove. 3. trunk tray (dealer didn't discover until opening the trunk) to me item 1 has value because i'll keep the car 10 years. items 2 and 3 are on the honda site at $595 and $110 respectively but it's cosmetic and high margin so wasn't a factor. Buying experience in DC area: shopped 14 dealers hard via internet and phone during one week process. submitted a written counteroffer with 3 final dealers before cross shopping the final deal and buying from Ourisman. if you don't care about color, maybe you can get the car for less, but i don't believe much less. about the dreaded trip to the dealership. forty years experience of buying cars and my experience at Ourisman was the best. zero pressure, professional and courteous staff, quick process. i can definitely recommend Ourisman. hope this information helps. |

| I needed to buy my wife a dependable car so I decided to get her a new 05 Accord, anyways after reading some of these post and what people are claiming they paid for theirs is really making me feel like I got taking for a ride, I sent faxes to all the Honda dealers with in 600 miles and I received an offer for a new 05 Accord-EX Coupe V-6 Automatic and agreed to a price of $23,750 which is around $600.00 under invoice, with taxes I'm paying $25,303.00 out the door, this dealer charges no dealer fees. | |

Well folks, I picked up an Accord VP from Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg, VA on September 9th. The VP appeals to me, because it's an upgraded DX, but a no-frills LX. Pohanka went out of their way to accommodate me, given that the VP isn't the most popular Accord model. The inventory for the VP appears to be short, but dealers tend to do what they can with swaps and so forth. Thanks to Hall Honda of Virginia Beach for making a swap or two with Pohanka. The color is a neutral desert mist metallic, or just plain beige you might say. The walk-out-the-door price was $16,972.16. Here's the dollar breakdown: Base Price: $15,650.07 Destination Charge: $515.00 Dealer Processing Fee: $249.00 Taxes (VA State and Spotsylvania County): $492.42 Dealer Business Tax: $16.17 Internet Processing Fee: $10.00 VA DMV Registration and Tags: $39.50 I'm sure prices will drop a tad by the end of the month, and into the final sales push for 2005 models through October. I'm satisfied with my price, and I'm glad that I didn't push the wait period before the inventory was depleted. The Sales and Service folks at Pohanka are good people. They make a fair buck or two, but customer satisfaction is important to them. Their mechanics are top-notch, and they've kept my vintage Civic Wagons running -- 1985 (260,000), and 1989 (225,000). They've also serviced my 1998 Accord LX (135,000) since its purchase. Thumbs up to Pohanka of Fredericksburg... isellhondas: Nice to see you around. I haven't been around this forum hall for a couple of years. I hope auburn63 is still around helping folks.

As we have to scramble for inventory, prices can actually rise to meet the demand. As it stands now, we are down to the crumbs with our remaining 2005's. |
