Accord EX 5M Coupe by alpha01

We just negotiated a deal for my ex on a Graphite 05 Accord EX 5M coupe for $19,767 plus tax and tags. Excellent experience at Martin Mainline Honda in Ardmore, PA.

On an interesting note, I commented to the salesperson that I dont think I've ever seen an Accord LX V6 coupe, though from time to time I've seen LX V6 sedans. He did a quick search and didnt find ANY LX V6 coupes in a 4 state radius.

To mzack21,
Which flavor of LX? If your 18,200 includes destination charge, it looks very good the way I worked my own numbers (big assumption on my part!) And what's in your "out the door" price? I paid 5% MA sales tax of 888, 198 doc fee and 86 for new title and plates. I bought no add-ons of any kind.

OTD price looks very similar to yours. Color is the graphite pearl.

Congrats on your new car. I just ordered a Graphite Coupe with leather in upstate NY. I drove an LX V6 Special Edition coupe last Thurs in NJ but couldn't do without the sunroof.

Question about an email message from a dealer by charms

I just got a response from another Honda dealer, Tampa Hondaland which was recommened on here. "They say they have a 110% price-match guarantee, on any signed buyers orders". What does that mean? It also says that their internet department gives "a 300,000 mile engine warranty good at any Honda dealership in the USA at no additional charge." Is that standard or is that a plus for going with them? I should mention that this looks like a standard email message that they just didn't put my name in the beginning of as it says "Dear undefined".

We are planning on buying this weekend as we are in a crunch to get a vehicle before the beginning of June. But, I want to get the best deal.

Thanks!
Christine

It means next to nothing.

If you go to any of the other dealers, have them write up your deal, get them to sign it, then TRY to leave their lot with that document you will see why this is a huge empty promise. The dealer is not going to sign the "buyer's order" until the deal is done, so how are you to bring it to Tamp Hondaland for them to match? You can't, so they can make such promises. If you went THERE and tried to leave with a signed document they would do the same thing.

The 300k engine thing is probably more hooey from them, I would not let that influence where I purchased the car.

Thanks

Thank you Dennis. I thought it probably was a load they were promising. I didn't like the fact that they sent a pre-generated letter and didn't even bother to change the name to mine, leaving it at "Dear undefined". The others have personally emailed.
Thank you for your help!

Why email dealers by jb_turner

Why would a person want to correspond via email with a dealer about a major purchase such as a new car?
