Dean,

Isn't Honda Finance offering a 1.9% rate on Civics and Accords? I don't see why your APR should be so high.

Hold back on all Hondas is 3% of the MSRP. On an EX-L sedan I4 w/manual that would be $729, about $824 on the V-6 coupe EX-L.

I assume you are getting the 4 cylinder since it is five speed. The V6 is a six speed. I purchased one about a month ago; an EX-L 2005. I love the car and the gears are really smooth. If you like a stick, you will love the car.

I live in Akron, OH. I am looking to buy an EX v6 Manual Accord Coupe w/ Navi. I stopped by a dealer the other day and happened to run accross an old friend that is a sales person. He said he could do 2% over invoice. Somewhere in the ball park of 27,500. Should i run with this. or expect to be able to do better. thanks for the help

I too am in Ohio and looking to buy an accord. Is does not appear there are any regional incentives in Ohio for May, and dealers do not seem to be discounting units with Navi. That said the dealer looks to be making $500 from you and getting another $885 in holdback. I think you have room to work it lower.

Price of 2005 Accord EX 4Dr Auto 4Cyl by mihink

I got a quote from openroad Honda (advertised on EBay) for $20,030 without tax but including destination.

I live in VA and none of the Northern VA dealers would come close to the price. Is this guy at OpenRoad Honda legit? Anyone worked with him in the past? Is that a good price?
Unexperienced in buying a car over the phone/internet.
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

mihink,

Does this price include processing/documentation fee? Usually dealers charge anywhere from $45 to $300 or even $400 for this. You should ask for the price including destination and processing fees (i.e. just before TTL) to be able to compare prices on a meaningful way.

See posts 7397, 7398 and 7399 (April 21), and Rosenthal Honda (located somewhere in VA) quoted approximately $20,307 for the same car, including destination and processing fees.

Good luck.

Does anybody have any word on what the May mfr-to-dealer cash incentives may be? Also, I've seen the term "volume dealer" used for the Atlanta-area: are these Gwinnett, Hennessy and/or Curry? One more than the others? Much appreciate the help!
