I just bought the car Saturday and I must say it kicks my Mazda 626's butt..BIG TIME!!! I love my car I am still getting use to the keyless entry and power locks...i know it sounds stupid. My 626 did not have this! Having these items is a luxury for me Anyways, there was no haggling to be done, deal took about 5 mins but the paperwork was another story (2.5 hrs total)! Paid about 23K after sales tax. It helped that I knew the salesman..small world!

Does anyone know if the PZEV cars have a longer emissions warranty?

I live in NM and attempting to shop in Phoenix. Dealers in Albuquerque are not moving on price. Best price in Abq is $500.00 over invoice. I can get invoice in Phoenix plus about $300.00 to ship. The other dealer in Abq is quoting $24998 for 05 Accord EXL AT with navi both these prices are significantly more than what I've seen on the posts. I asked for quotes from the Chicago area as well but have yet to find a dealer willing to sell for less than invoice. Where you guys get these prices is beyond me!!

Hi Jpla49:

Here in Chicago, Grand and O’Hare Honda are both willing to compete for your $’s at many hundreds to a thousand under invoice on Accord’s. Probably less now since the $0 - $600 FTD has been announced. In Milwaukee, Wilde Honda of Waukesha will do the same. If you need a link to their specific web sites, I can provide them but you can find them through Honda.com directly if you want to go that route. Given your location, I would attempt to deal through the Fremont California Honda dealership myself for the PZEV given it is much closer … I saw that this Fremont California dealerships name was “Autowest” when looking at the past posts we talked about a page or two ago.

      Good Luck

After getting e-quotes from most of the dealers mentioned in this forum for an 05 Accord LX Automatic sedan, Wilde Honda in Wisconsin is the best price by far. Price is 17,828 +89 + tax, title and license. Price includes $600 FTD incentive thru the end of March on ALL Accords.
And Wayne, thanks for the info on Wilde.

When we bought Accords in the 90's, we offered about $100 over invoice on several occasions and were turned down. We would then walk out, and the salesman would not come after us.

Therefore, we learned it would take at least $200 or $300 over invoice to buy an Accord, and we figured we would offer that much for a 2005.

However, after hearing all of your experiences, we offered much less (invoice - $300 + tax + ttl) for an EX manual sedan yesterday, and, to our surprise, they accepted. That price also included wheel locks, mud flaps, pin stripes, and two additional keys (for a total of 5 keys).

At first they did not accept our price, so we left and started to get in our car. The salesman then came out and said they would accept it.

The salesman was extremely nice during the whole process, but the sales manager didn't seem to like us at all.

All of your postings probably saved us $600 or more, so THANK YOU ALL very much.

By the way, we live in Fairfax County, Virginia.

One last thing: we love the car. It is much, much nicer than our 1999 model.

Take this for whatever you wish:
According to O'Hare Honda, "nobody in the Midwest will honor Grand Honda's prices". The O'Hare internet manager told me Grand is being sued for buying damaged vehicles from Honda and selling them without notice. He told me that law requires disclosure for damage over $600, and that Grand is selling damaged cars over and under that number without notice. He further stated that one will not find a deal on an EX-L for 21,000 anywhere. Fact or fiction, who knows?
