2005 EX-L AT price in los angeles by ac2005

I was quoted $22,000 for an EX-L AT. How does this rate for a first offer?

What is the actual invoice price of this car? Most sites I've seen list $22,047 but I was told $22,697 by a dealer.

And for those who have experienced both, what are the pros/cons of leather over cloth? Thanks.

Puchased a 2005 Accord Sedan LX 4cyl 5spd for 17925 before ttl at John Elway Honda in Westminster, Colorado. This is 300 under invoice and includes a 300 handling fee that they backed out of the price. Out the door was 19100. I used FIGHTINGCHANCE.COM to help me with the purchase. I saved a bundle of money and alot of my time by not having to deal with floor salesman and instead deal with the fleet/sales managers of the dealerships. I would reccomend James Braggs service to anyone wanting to go into a deal with confidence.

Thanks for the tip. We may be driving to MD (from NOVA) if we can't talk a local dealer into a lower price. Ahh one more question. Is the Nav worth the extra money?, kath

Purchased the car last night(11/30/04) from Spirit Honda in SoCal for $750 below invoice + ttl and 1.9% financing with 0 down.

I emailed local dealers two weeks ago and received quotes for $400 and $500 below invoice. I thanked all of them and told them I would review all offers and make my decision shortly. I waited until the last day of the month and made an appointment with Spirit. The internet department called me back and told me they were aggressively selling their cars and offered me $750 below invoice(I assume that price was good for yesterday only).

PS
Thanks to everyone that has posted here. The information I found in this forum has helped me research my new car and gave me the confidence to attain a great price.

With all of these deals for below invoice, many of which also exceed the dealer holdback, I think there's gotta be a dealer incentive kicking around. Does anyone have the inside scoop? It'd be a great help in negotiations.

ngm,

Can you provide the details of your final purchase price? eg. destination, title, plates, documentation fee, etc. I plan to go into Spirit Honda this weekend and I'd like an idea of what those numbers should look like. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I saw where you can get up to three internet bids from cars.com for free. They also, advertise in the Fresno Bee. Does anyone have experience with them or know the pros and cons? Thanks
