My last post was deleted because of contact info, so here is the corrected copy.

Dealer recommendations in the Northern VA DC area based on quotes for a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 w/Nav received over the Thanksgiving Holiday are:

Criswell Honda, Germantown, MD
27,687.00 out the door price until 30 Nov

Hendrick Honda, Woodbridge VA
27,900 out the door price

Pohanka Honda, Fredericksburg VA
27,854.11 out the door price

Also please see my post on my 27 Nov purchase of a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 w/nav for 27470.98 out the door breakdown.

Hope this helps,
Rodndor

V6 versus 4 by gary4x4

Does anyone have experience or an opinion regarding the V6 versus the 4 cylinder engine offered with the Accord. I know there is a 3 mpg difference in gas mileage and a significantly higher starting price but is is worth it? Pros and cons? Thanks

The insurance for the V6 is about $40 more a year with my current insurance company.

I bought the same car but the '04 model (the only difference is the side air bags are standard on the '05 model) with mudgards for $16,500. I'm in the cleveland area and had to beat them up pretty bad to get that price. their best offer before I tried to walk out was 17275.

Look through the comments posted in this forum to read many comments about 4 vs V6.

The bottom line is that you MUST test drive both of them before buying if it really matters to you. I did not test drive both prior to buying my 2004 Accord EX-L 4 sedan with AT because it was fast enough for me.

I finally drove a V6 a few weeks ago and have no regrets about buying the 4 cylinder car.

If you expect to carry many passengers, fill the trunk with heavy luggage, pull a trailer, or pass slow vehicles on 2 lane roads, then perhaps the V6 would be the better choice.

I think most people would be well served by the 4 which is very quick, smooth, quiet, and refined...........Richard
