Does anyone know what the current Honda incentives are the 2004 Accord Sedans?

I am about ready to finalize my car. here are the details: Getting it for invoice (i am told) at 26,512. I am getting the 1,000 incentive so the price is 25,512. With tax and title the price will be just over 27,000. I asked about the 05 and the guy i am dealing with told me the 05's are 600 more than the 04's but they are not giving the 1,000 incentive with the 05's so it would really be 1,600 more. I think 27,000 might be a little more than what some people are paying but I am very happy with the price since some dealers down here are still trying to sell the fully loaded 04 Accord EX's for 28,000 not including tax and title. |

Hi Mikesid: ___Invoice on a V6 Accord EX w/ NAVI is $26,041 including destination. With the $1,000 off, you should be able to pick her up for much less then $25,000 given the way Honda dealers all over the country are moving Accords at less then Invoice as of late. ___Good Luck ___Wayne R. Gerdes

The difference is about $1000 after 4 years. You could not make this type of comparison is it was a model year change, however, it was little chage from the 2004 and 2005.

Hi Mikesid: ___Looking at it from a used car to slightly older used car w/ the same amount of miles perspective, the newer model usually does not pay for itself at trade-in/sale time according to the following. KBB - Private Party: 2003 Accord EX V6 w/ Auto and NAVI - Good condition and 35,000 miles: $18,130 2004 Accord EX V6 w/ Auto and NAVI - Good condition and 35,000 miles: $19,055 ___Do your own analysis for an 00 vs. 01 or 01 vs. 02 etc. on what the new 04 or new 05 decision might be worth more then just 1 year down the line. The delta will probably decrease over time making the 1 yr. older Accord an even better deal as time goes by. I used higher mileage for both Accords (35,000) to simulate more then just a 1 year out automobile. YMM definitely Vary however. ___Good Luck ___Wayne R. Gerdes |

The 2005 Accord LX and DX are MUCH better cars for 2005 because they have standard side curtain airbags which weren't available last year on those models. The '05s also have illuminated steering wheel controls. Unless you can get an '04 for at least $2000 less than a 2005, you're better off buying the newer one in my opinion......Richard |
