There was no haggling and it was the first time I didn't leave the showroom feeling swindled. I purchased my car from Rick Hendrick Honda in Charleston, SC.

Hi, I'm new here. This site has been invaluable so far. Anyway, I had a question about carsdirect.com. The site lists the 'Target Price' of a 2004 Accord LX with side airbags as $17563 for my area. Got an internet quote for 21,377 plus TTL on a 4 cyl EX auto-w/leather. This includes destinatoin. Just wanted a get a feel for reasonableness from you guys. Its below invoice per Edmunds. Depends on the dealer and your negotiation. I would also make sure it is an Automatic. That price is just under what I did on a manual EX-L, including Carsdirect.   If its real, its a good deal. Hi, anybody knows whether Accord used to have any cash rebate in previous years? I'm interested in a 2004 Accord EX. Don't know whether it is worthwhile waiting a few weeks for any cash rebate to come out. Any suggestions are welcome.

Replying to: route9 (Jun 13, 2004 10:20 am) For comparison I would add the documentation fees to the quoted price. It still sounds good for an Automatic, but without knowing your tax and tag rates I can't say for sure. I got $21700 for the same in a Manual without Tax and Tags. There was no documentation or other fee.   A good way to tell is to compare to the TMV price or the Cars Direct price + $200 to $400 (which they will add too) for your configuration in your area.
