Just bought a 2004 v6 nav accord at $150.00 less than invoice in so cal. It was the cars direct price but never had a dealer attached to it. Had to jawbone the local dealer a little bit. But they agreed, no trade-in or dealer accesories. $25891.00 plus T&L. Also the salesmen was not aware of the financing from honda.

We just completed a deal at Hennessey Honda. It was simpler than I could ever imagine. We purchased a 2004 Accord EX-L for $23,000 out the door, including all fees and 7% sales tax. We gor several quotes within $200-$400 of each other- Hennessey just had the car we wanted.

We bought our Odyssey at Hennessy last weekend. They did have a nice selection of Accords.

I just checked the prices at Intellichoice

Honda EX V6 auto with leather and nav - 23,145
Honda EX V6 auto with leather NO nav - 21,348

Are these realistic prices because I am getting internet quotes from dealers 1800-2000 over these. I live in the San Fran bay area.

You should definitely use the fax method. I bought a Toyota Sienna by fax 18 months ago and two weeks ago an Accord EX 4cy with Navi using email/web form methods. I ended up getting the price I wanted on the Accord, but it was much harder. Here's the deal: The internet department is just regular salespeople in disguise. They will start way high and don't have the authority to really wheel-and-deal. You need to work with the fleet manager, but they don't work online. I suggest that you pick out 7-10 dealers close to you and call the main phone number. Tell the receptionist you are going to place a bid for the fleet manager and need his or her direct fax number and name. This is often a different number than the advertised fax number. It is very important to get the person's name and fax it to him/her directly. I know this is more work but it is worth it--if you don't do this, it could get scooped up by a normal, powerless salesperson who can't cut a deal. See my post #4406 for an example of what should be on the fax. Then be ready for your phone to ring. Since you are dealing with a manager directly, you will start off at a much lower price. On Accords right now, you should pay $500-800 below invoice at least. The internet dept will start you out $800 or more above invoice, in my experience. I'd also suggest waiting until the last week of the month to start faxing. By then, the fleet manager will know if they need to do some quick, no profit deals to turn inventory low or get incentives from Honda. If you do this in the first 3/4 of the month, they won't be as desperate.

In Orange County CA I paid 26,991 out the door (OTD) for a graphite 2004 Honda Accord Sedan V-6 with Navigation.

I believe the base price was 24,599...

Took delivery of the car with 11 miles on it...

How did I do? Did I get ripped off? I think I got a good deal because I paid under invoice.

Please advise.

*smile* You got a 2004 Honda Accord Sedan V-6 with Navigation in graphite with 11 miles on it. You paid $26,991 OTD, and that's less than invoice. You think you got a good deal.

Why would you ask if you got ripped off? Some people pay a little more and some pay a little less. You think you got a good deal.

Enjoy your new car and be happy!

That's MY advice. *grin*

First, any recent or soon to be Accord owners here in the Missouri/St. Louis area? Interested in sharing info.

Second, anyone know when the ')5's come out, or when you can order? And would you wait for an 05 now that it getting later in the year (albeit only May).

Thanks to all who contribute here.
