I tried to replicate this deal with Capital Honda but they said you didn't get an auto dimming mirror or rear deck lid for the price your quoted. Who should I belive?

On carsdirect.com, the price they give me is now $200 less than it was last week. You may want to check this out.

Under the incentives/rebates listing, it says this has special pricing that expires on 05/31/04. Any idea what this is?

But none of those rates show up on Honda's website. Nor do the dealer rebats that everyone has been talking about.

If the rebates are out there, why doesn't Honda advertise them like everyone else does? I can't watch tv or listen to the radio for fifteen minutes without hearing about gm's truck-a-thon or something of the like.

What gives?

bavenda, not sure what to say to that. It's up to you to decide who to believe, and ulitimately it doesn't matter who you believe if they refuse to give you the price.

Have you tried getting quotes from other dealers? Remember I got the price through their matching policy.

Also, bavenda, I would appreciate it if you did not go around brandishing the deal I got to dealers and trying to get them to match it. The idea of my post was to illustrate the _process_, and to show that good results can come from a solid process. Maybe I got a good end-of-the-month deal, maybe there were manufacturer-dealer incentives that were removed for May. Maybe April numbers were good, and dealers are reluctant to deal early in the month. There are a whole host of factors that could affect your experience and final result. Good luck...

Hello all ..

I purchased a new Accord EX-V6 on 4 May 2004 for $23725 + tax, license and documentary fees. This figure is approximately $500 UNDER invoice and included a dealer's "pack" of 3 different HONDA branded accessories for the Accord, which were wheel locks, trunk liner and mud flaps for all 4 wheels. I thought the price was so good that I didn't complain about the pack. The dealer agreed to lower the "asking price" of the pack from $599 to $385, which he said was his "cost". I knew at that time that the actual cost of mud flaps, trunk liner and wheel locks is closer to $200, but I thought the deal was so good that I didn't want to jeopardize it.

I used edmunds.com to get an online quote from various Honda dealers in the Southern Cal area. I was surprised that most of the dealers I queried responded with a hard number and that the number was below invoice.

If anyone is curious, I got e-mail quotes, below invoice, from Nelson Honda and Diamond Bar Honda. These dealers are in Los Angeles County in Southern California.

I am beginning to think that I didn't just luck into a situation, but that this is becoming commonplace. Has anyone gotten deals on the Accord to $500 below invoice in May 2004?

This price was also available in April 2004.

Regards,

I was hoping to get some figures on recent purchases made on EX-V6's in the Atlanta area. I'm in the preliminary stages of purchasing a new Accord and wanted to get a good idea of what deals look like and which dealerships have the best offers. Specifically I'm looking at 2dr EX-V6's w/o Nav system. Anyone with info you think is relevant I'd be happy to hear from you! Thanks!
