Some dealers have a secondary "holding" lot where they keep excess inventory.

After much emailing I got a pretty good deal, I was getting an EX till my wife saw an EXL. But here is a run down.

2004 Honda Accord EXL
4Cyl, 5spAT
MSRP = $24790
My Price = $21300 + $98 doc fee

I also wanted a 5yr/100k Honda Care warranty so we got it down to $785.00

It's a smoking deal.

Have fun!

And if one of the dealers you called after you drove your car home had matched the price, you would have bought another one? What was the point? You already knew you had a great price. Just drive and enjoy.

I just purchased an 03' Accord LX with 9,000 miles, at a Toyota dealer of all places, for $15,995. I did a ton of research and really had a difficult time finding any used 03's near this price, so, I feel good about the deal I struck. (Don't rain on my parade!) I was told that it was good timing, end of the month? and that obviously it was a trade. I think the "Toyota" people just wanted to get the "competition" off the lot.

My final advice is to set your target price, don't fall in love with the car, and be prepared to walk. Thanks for everybody's postings, they really helped.

Good point but in the back of my mind I was still asking myself "What is wrong with this picture? It is too good to be true."

I guess I was just looking for some reassurance.

I still wanted to post the dealer and the salesman's name for anyone that is looking for a Honda.

I suppose that people might be interested in the amazing price as well as the dealer and sales person's name... I mean, you've built it up now. How about killing off the suspense!

Please read the blurb at the top of the discussion so you know what sales information may be posted and what may not. One item that is not allowed is salespeople's names.

This information is also covered in our new feature, Rules of the Road, which is linked at the top of the page.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me.

Hi All
I have a plan to buy Accord EX(4Cylinders)-Leather without Nav.
MSRP is $24790.00 and
Invoice is $22357.00.
What is the reasonable price range (before tax) for EX-Leather? It sounds like stupid question but this is my first time buying a new car.
It will be very helpful for me if you guys give me some advice on the deal and price.

Thank you so much and have a great day!
