There have to be hurdles to jump over to get your money back at the end of a service contract. I have seen several companies beginning to offer this, but haven't been privy to the fine print. You probably have to still own the vehicle at the end of the term, send in paperwork proving ownership, how much you paid initially, and copy of the original contract. You also have to hope the service contract company is still in business. In this case, Honda will be around, so no problem. I doubt you get the full refund if you Cancel the contract midway through. And, Oh yeah, you have to remember to apply for the refund! Do you remember financial decisions you made 7 years ago? |

From internet communications and this posting information, I too bought a Honda Accord. I LOVE it! 04, 4CYL coupe (and it DOES have power), EX-L, non navigation, colors: silver with black. The engine and interior are built beautifully. The leather is luxury. Musicboy helped tremendously with affirmation of numbers and encouragement. The internet experience made the purchase less threatening. The dealership stuck to their word and I am one happy owner. I feel safe and will enjoy this car for many years. May I add, that this is coming from a Windstar owner. $22,700 OTD state of Va. |

Replying to: jhopp (Apr 28, 2004 2:37 pm) Included at my request:fog lights, auto.dimming rear view mirror with compass,1/2 nose mask, splash guards, door edge guards, pinstripe.Dealers have a 500% mark up on options, mostly in labor. If I bought fog lights later dealer wants $610. Other post had it right, pay half for option have dealer install for free. This way the dealer's still making 100% on the option. Get $500 worth ,they still make 250 profit on sale of car. Get $'s or options off price. I still paid $400 to much,in retrospect. Good luck. |

I am not a dealer. The price I stated in my post is correct. When I got to the dealer the sales rep took me to the car. Showed me the features and function, made a copy of my license and gave me the keys to test drive the car alone. I came back signed the papers and was out the door in 1.5 hrs or so. Hendrick was great! They offered the protection packages and stuff but when I refused they never mentioned it again. Everything that I had prenegotiated on the net was the price on the paper work when I signed on the dotted line. I was told to use a wax with Teflon when I wax the car. Apparently waxes with Teflon are more expensive but will help reduce acid rain deposits on your car. I highly recommend Hendrick. They gave the best quote up front and never pressured me into anything. Good luck! Dan |
