Is Flex Cash available for every dealer? Or is it just certain dealers?
Looking to buy a EX-L in Omaha, NE this weekend and want to have the best info available. If anybody has purchased one locally, please provide your experience.

You need to look further down on the main page. You will see the box with the graphic relating to the various prices paid by people for the car, and what constitutes the "TrueCar Price".
Below that you will see a line graph showing a history of the average price for the car across several months.
BELOW THAT you will see a grid of information, and you will see the first column is labeled "Factory Invoice" and the first row labeled "Base". The cell where those two meet is the factory invoice, before destination charge.

Flex cash is not necessarily available at all dealers, and not all dealers are willing to put flex cash towards just any model.
I started by soliciting email quotes for the specific model I wanted. This got me a good idea of price, but also for which dealers had flex cash to throw around. A couple mentioned in their emails that they had flex cash available, and the price they quoted did not include any.

I am in the Boston metro area and only one dealership is around 25k before flex cash.
Could you provide the names of the dealerships offering 24.9k and 24.8k? Are they offering flex cash? Depending on the distance and whether they have my color combination in stock, I might try and reach out to them.
I would be surprised if you get a deal below 24.7k (less than $1700 below invoice) this month, but it all depends on whether a dealership needs to meet their end of the month sales quota.
Good luck and keep us updated.
#30682 of 32192 True car pricing

True car pricing is not a accurate as you think with pricing. Be careful with that site. What you read and learn in this forum is buying 101 and you will get the best possible price if you follow them. Today is not a buy day unless a dealership meets your price.
Tomm..........." THurs ' kicks off the fun and starts to get close to the game.
Friday going into Sat, is when you will have the dealerships full attention and will learn exactly
What your area pricing is to buy. Its now your decision to buy or wait another month.
Remember about supply and demand it seems from posting this month dealers lots are limited on some models already. Its not getting better next month on those models.
Pricing might not be much better next month and to think you lost your choice of color or model for a few hundred would be a shame.
Dealers with 6, exl models this month sells 4. next month he is laughing at you because he knows if you want this car........ You buy at his price. This applies to any limited model Accord right know.
Your best deals come by seeing 10 to 15 of your model.
Keep on posting and talking with each other. Try to keep dealership names out of posted prices unless Requested . I remember back in Feb, there were a few dealerships that started to Renig on there pricing probably due to this forum.
If dealerships in one area are watching this forum on pricing it either helps or hurts us.

Blue - which dealer is 25k before flex cash? $24.5 with flex cash would be pretty good. I would take that. I haven't seen dealers budge from the internet prices. In fact, I had one metrowest dealership balk at the internet price they gave me and charged me $1250 more. I'm not sure if that was because i was a single woman and didn't bring a male figurehead with me but needless to say I was wicked pissed.
#30684 of 32192 What's the deal with September 3rd?
Aug 28, 2013 (6:33 am)
Hi - this message board focuses on buying at the end of the month but all the emails from the dealers say the prices/promotions are effective through September 3rd. Is there a difference in purchasing power from August 31 vs September 3? Thanks!

The prices you are being quoted are a starting offer to buy. If your foolish enough to believe that price is anywhere near final. That quoted price would be good every month. Read thru boards and area Find a starting target price to buy and start negotiations buying last 2 days last day of this month. Some may find a good deal thru labor day weekend.

Honda cars of Boston. They have very limited stock on the EX-L.
Who have you contacted and what is the best price you have seen so far? Make sure that before you walk into a dealership to close the deal, you have all your sales info in writing and request a bill of sale/purchase order.
