Thank you indydriver!
I'm trying to see if the 2011 Odyssey might have the same oil consumption problem (burns 1/2 quart per 1000 miles) as does my 2009 (dyssey EX-L and as do many other 2008--2010 Variable Cylinder Management engined models (e.g. Accords). Honda theorizes that in some of these cars, when the cylinders are "managed" and shut off to save gas while coasting, the pistons and their rings cool, shrink, and lose oil into the combustion chambers. Most of the threads of people with this problem tell tales of Honda not honoring warrantee for this problem. Honda has told me that it was my problem for buying a lemon.

Hi there, I am new here, this is an excellent forum!
Just got a quote from my locate dealer today for a 2011 Accord LX (AT), I live in NY
2011 Accord LX (AT)
$19950 included everything but Tax (8.8875%) and DMV fee
is it a good deal for now?
Can I get a lower tax if I get my car in other states such as MD?

If I want to upgrade to a SE from a LX (not even LX-P)
what would be the price difference?
$1500? both are AT

You'll get a better price in MD - around $1,000 better - Contact the internet Managers at OURISMAN or CRISWELL HONDA in MD. OURISMAN Sent an email advertising the LX at $17995 plus $750 Destination and $100 processing fee. These dealers can do the paper work to register the vehicle in NY - but you'll also have to pay the tax - the only difference is that since the car is over $1,000 less than what they are charging - you'll save that in tax or approx $100.
MD and VA just have better deals.

Hi 1sebringnow, thanks for your help!!
I have contacted OURISMAN and CRISWELL HONDA today
I told them I am from NY and I have an offer 19900 + tax + DMV cost
I said I dont mind drive 4 hrs to their dealership this weekend if they can beat this offer, then they offer me 19750+100doc fee + tax +DMV cost
I told them my target is about 19250 + tax + DMV cost
the sales manager tell me they cannot do that price and he said he only have 2 LX left in the inventory.
Can you fwd me the email you received from OURISMAN?
I really appreciate!!
P.S. also thinking about upgrade to a SE, they quote $21500+tax+DMV cost
so I can ask for a better offer also? thanks and happy memorial day weekend everyone : D

May 27, 2011 (6:06 pm)
Mine with Navi I paid $27,255 plus TTL (tax, title, doc fee, registration, etc...).
I initially was looking at the one without Navi and I was quoted at $25,315 plus TTL. The dealer I bought it from Piazza Honda of Drexel Hill, PA.

All of my quotes are destination fee included but tax, title, doc fee, and registration are extra. I don't know what state are you in but if you live near PA then you better check Piazza Honda of Drexel Hill where I bought my car from and this dealer gave me the lowest quotes in this areas with no string attached. I live in NJ and none of the dealers in NJ gave me the same or even closed to the the quotes from Piazza Honda. The lowest quote I got it from Honda of Turnersville was $29,500.
#26160 of 32216 Accord sedan EX-L V-6 with navi NJ
May 27, 2011 (7:21 pm)
I have been negotiating price for Honda accord sedan EX-L V-6 with navigation, and the best price before today was 27,650. This translated into a lease price of 395/month 36 month12k miles per year with $1050.00 at signing (includes fees and mv). Tax included. Price shopped today and got monthly cost down to $365, same $1050.00 at signing. Would appreciate any advice if this is good deal.
#26162 of 32216 What is the Manu. to Dealer Incentive?
May 27, 2011 (7:44 pm)
I got a quote of $24,700 plus TTL for a V6 Accord EX-L w/o Navi today. Yeah, that's no misprint. After last weeks article where the Accord was rank last(I disagreed), sales must have dried up or something. The price is just about right to steer me away from a Altima 3.5 SR.
Anyone can tell me what the incentive is for this month. If it's $750, I think I can squeezed it down to $24000.
