Just got off the phone. Made a deposit on a Accord EX-L V6 to pick up monday. The salesman came to my house to show me the car and to pick up my trade to evaluate.
Trade is a 2006 Saturn IOn for 4k.
The dealer's first price AFTER trade was 26,000.
Offered 22,500 out the door with the trade. Total 26,500.Sticker just over 30,500 with dealer stuff. Sales tax in VA is 3%. Expected to negotiate but not willing to move much.
They came back with yes as long as I take dealer stock (white-demo with under 600 miles or grey).
Monday we will see.

To dnmann, you were probably offered a good price. I am assuming that you are getting an Accord V6 EX-L with Navigation. As for as your trade, you will be the best judge of the offer that was made to you, but I would think that you should have at least made a 6,000 on it. I would also check the car (Accord) really carefully since it was a demo car and have 600 miles on it. Usually with a demo car, you are supposed to get a 1000 dollar price break. Are you also getting the .9% financing. If not, insist on it. I would hope that you will keep us informed regarding your final purchase and good luck with your new car.

#25524 of 29850 2010 Honda Accord V6 LX by adamahaz

I purchased a new pearl blue Honda V6 LX 115 miles. I got a great deal!!
But not at first. I went to tamaron Honda (Birmingham,al) and they wanted 27,360.00 out the door for a 2010 V6 EX and that was including a 2002 Honda LX with 145000 miles. Guess I had retail written on forehead. It was out of my budget so I had to go to a 2010 ex 4 cyl there final was 22,000 So I thought that was a good deal(was wrong). I wanted to drive it home before it signed on dotted line. I took it to a friend and he told me to find another Honda dealer and see if they could beat price.
I called Townsend Honda (Tuscaloosa,Al). Now hold onto your seats.. They had the same 2010 ex 4 cyl for 18600 out the door with trade. The 2010 EX V6 was 22860.00 out the door. I drove car back to dealer and told them I found a better deal and the were pissed. They asked who and what price. They even called them and verified (Cloke and dagger style) They still said the were lying to me and said it was impossible for them to sell these for that. I took my old Honda and traveled 70 miles and got the v6 I wanted... The other dealership called and said they would do whatever it took to get my business but when I told them I already signed on dotted line they hung up.
I will never buy from tamaron Honda.. They were very unprofessional. So if you want a GREAT DEAL CALL TOWNSEND HONDA TUSCALOOSA ,,AL I Bet they beat any other dealers price.. Happy shopping.
One final note. Tamaron said ( we sell hundreds of cars a month and they have only sold 30 this month.) well now they sold 31 and they got my 22860.00.
I bet those other car buyers that went to tamaron will go to Townsend next time or after they read this. And remember by law you have 3 days to return a car no matter what you sign.

There is no country wide law in the US that requires a car dealer to take a car back. the laws vary by state. Alabama does not have a 3 day return policy for cars.

Well I guess I wrong. That's why I tell them I need a day to take it home and sleep on it. It saved me from getting ripped off.

#25530 of 29850 2011 Accord EX by residentguru

Sep 04, 2010 (12:13 pm)

We just signed at the dealer this morning. We think we got a pretty great deal. We got a 2011 Accord EX for 22,700 OTD except for TT&L which we'll pay for separately. We also got them to throw in window tinting. MSRP is 25,655. How do you think we did?
