Hi everyone, I live in So. California. Went to the dealer over the weekend and got a quote for 2009 Accord EX-L V6 w/Nav at $27330 before tax and license. The EX-L V4 w/nav is $25000 before tax and License. Are these prices pretty good or can I go lower?

You appear to be about $1300 to $1500 below invoice - a good deal.

I didn't price any LX Accords since I knew I wanted the LX-P.

Gillman Honda Southwest was where I bought my car today. I dealt entirely with the internet salesman. After I was sure he was beating my local dealership, I had him e-mail me the final OTD price. There were no switches and no price changes. It took less than two hours to get the deal done, since I was financing through my credit union. The salesman I dealt with was Cody. He was able to beat the last price I had from my local dealer by about $500 after the first call, and I was happy with that price so I didn't continue to shop it around very hard afterward. Cody was pretty friendly. Know that I only had a couple of phone calls with him before today when I called this morning to say we were coming in, so in reality I had little contact with any at Gillman besides Cody, the receptionist and the finance officer (who was just having me sign the papers to be fax to my bank so there was very little discussion there).

My final OTD was $21,596 with window tint, pin stripe, and side moldings. It took me a couple of weeks to go through a few round of calls. Most of the Houston dealerships were all about the same price and unwilling at first to come down. I know Goodson North internet salesperson never gave me a final internet price. Gillman Rosenberg played ball for a bit, but refused to beat or even match when Gillman Southwest's gave me $21,596. Though, Roseberg gave me the feeling that they were counting on me continuing to shop prices around on them for a few more days. Even though I repeatedly said unless they could give me a reason to go to them, I was going to Southwest first (both dealerships are almost exactly an hour from me).

No worries. I will have my revenge. I sent a review into DealerRater.com outlining my entire experience. It won't post until 3/29/09 though. Surprisingly enough, Bernardi has a 4.7/5.0 average rating on here. I'm not sure how that is even possible but I can only assume they are fabricating reviews and thereby inflating their numbers. It really was quite a Mickey Mouse operation there. Ironically, after my review was sent to the dealership, I immediately received an email from the General Sales Manager asking me to call or email them to discuss. I sent a classic response. We'll see what happens from here. It's like a soap opera. Although the saving grace is that Bernardi actually uses their DealerRater.com reviews in their marketing/advertising campaign. So, I assume my review will stick out like a sore thumb! I encourage others to check out the dealer reviews on this site as well...although I would only pay attention to the ratings below 4.0 as I assume some of them are padding their stats. Good luck!

Accord EXL V6 w/o navi in Wisconsin by dobrze13

I traded in a 2002 Volvo s60 awd with 62k miles. Got lowballed on the trade in at $6500. Probably worth more like $7000-7500, but needed some minor repairs.

Out the door after emailing multiple dealers, $25,299 plus tax and state fees. Bought from Bergstrom Honda, Oshkosh WI. Honda wheel locks and dealer installed mud guards included. I think fair price. Thoughts?

buying 2009 Accord EX-L V6 with NO navi by sunnybreezy

I am trying to to buy a 2009 Accord EX-L V6 with NO navi. MSRP is $29,373 (including destination charge). So far the quotes I got from two dealerships are (including destination charge, excluding tax+doc fee) : $25,024 and $ $26,263. This is before negotiation, and I am hoping to get lower. I wonder if $25,024 could be the lowest available though. Any thoughts how much lower I might be able to go?

What does your research say? It's easy to find out if you're quotes are competitive. The $25,024 price looks like a very good price - make sure they didn't "forget" to include destination as it's way below invoice, even after the $1,000 dealer cash. I think anything lower will be nickel and dime stuff, if they're even willing to go lower. The other price is barely under invoice so I would go with the first dealer for the reason they gave you a good price up front, as long as you're comfortable doing business with them. Good luck.

Honda Finance Special by azkalhan

Just got an email from the dealer I've been talking to -- Honda Finance just announced a financing special on all new Accords. 2.9% for up to 36 months, 3.9% for 37-60 months. Not as good as the 1.9% there was around Christmas time, but better than the lack of specials they've had of late! These rates are in effect from 3/18 - 5/4.

I just was quoted from two dealerships in NJ for a Honda EX_L V6 with Nav

Both $26,600... I assume that is not including destination as they always try to throw that in...

I got one dealership to "agree" over the phone to $26,000.

Also, 3.9% financing for 60 mo.

Anyone have any experience with a Accord ccessories?

This site is extremely helpful, especially when I purchased my 2008 MDX. The salesperson at the dealership was amazed when I came in knowing what I wanted to pay for each individual part of the deal.
