Replying to: rmani (Mar 07, 2009 7:48 am) I also found the documentation fee for these 5 dealers ranged from 197 to 389. What's the story with the window etching? they were majorly pushing it and I've never heard of it? |

Am considering buying a 4 door EX-L V-6 with Navigation. I live in northern Ohio. What is a good price for this model?

The dollar numbers he had were exactly the ones I had discussed with the first girl on the phone, and the ones that appeared on the paperwork. If he had had the right color in his lot, we would have been in and out of there in about two hours, but he had to run to Tysons to get the car from another dealer, so that added another 90 minutes to the process. All in all, a good experience, except that when I came back a couple days later (they kept the car in order in install the side molding) I had to keep an eye out for some details, like getting the entire "dealer appearance package", getting a fulll tank of gas, having the car washed before actually taking delivery. That added another 90 minutes to that second visit to pick up the car. I complained (gently) about it when they did the customer satisfaction follow-up call and the manager gave me a free oil change and wash for my troubles, which I thought was fair. Hendrick's price was about $1000 less than the next best price quote I had gotten, and I called about 6-8 other dealers in the DC area. But that was two months ago... Maybe the deals are better now... now that another 1.2 million people have lost their jobs since then. Maybe you should ask the dude (ibuyhondaonly?) who told me I paid too much, and that he got such a better deal for the same car, where he got his in DC, cuz apparently they're giving them away! On another note - Accord sedan 4cyl auto MPG: I calculated MPG on a couple hundred mile road trip a couple weekends ago. At 75 mph on cruise control, I got about 25 mpg. Maybe a little higher since maybe 15% of that tank was 65mpg and a little city/suburban driving. That's compared to the stated highway fuel efficiency of 30mpg, which I think is mostly at around 55mph. Kinda interesting. |
