To me that's an excellent price for an EX-L. You did good. Who cares what they charge for doc or fees-- it's the bottom line you're looking at. You did good for an EX-L.

So said that the incentive for march is $1000. How do you know that ? Where is the information published ?

LocaROja - You did great. Not sure what the others are basing their opinions on. I don't track these forums too too closely, but that's about as good a price as I've seen since I started paying attention a couple months ago. I bought pretty much the same car as you (see my post on Jan 2), OTD for $23.9k but we have lower tax here in VA.

I've noticed that some people get way too focused, IMHO, on each individual fee. I think that plays into the dealers' mind games. They'd rather negotiate a $400 fee than a $20,000 base price. And it's the first thing people bring up when they look at the order form. "What's this $400 processing fee?" So the salesperson can eventually say "If I can waive that documentation fee, do we have a deal?" Meanwhile, the big number, the base price of the car, hasn't moved.

Its on Edmunds main site. I believe its also regional, so it may be different where you are.

On the main site, click the "NEW CARS" tab on top, then click the "Incentives and Rebates" tab, input your zipcode and then select Honda and the Accord Model you are interested in.

Dude - Sounds like you just got a good deal, like I did. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that the deals have been getting better since I bought two months ago, but I believe yours is the first that I've seen that is actually lower than mine. Do you mind posting the details? Model, trim, extras, and each line item from the work order? That helps forum users compare prices around the country.

And BTW, I looked into pretty much every accessory before I bought, and I think your salesperson may have been yanking your chain a little. The moonroof visor installed is about $180 (or $90 for the parts, which attach with four clips), not $595. The side molding installed is about $313 so $268 that I paid didn't seem too bad. FWIW.

Two western washington Honda dealers have quoted me $19,700 on a 2009 Accord LX with out the door of $21,800.

Is this a good deal?
Should I try to get this even lower?

Thanks.

Definitely you can get the number lower. I got the OTD price $20,700 (7% tax) but still negotiating for the good number since the new incentive $1000 just out on March 3.

Is it a good price for Accord EX (4 door) by gadude

The best deal I am for Accord EX (4 door) is 22,900 (out the door). In this price they are charging $600 documentation fee which seems very high.

Do you guys think its a good deal ? how far can I go ?

I was also given a quote of $23,000 + Tax & Title at a Western Washington dealer for a new 2009 Accord EX-L. Would come out to be around $25,200 OTD (9% tax)

Any one getting a better deal than this?

I lost my 2003 Accord in an Accident (Total Loss) so I have to get another one. In this ecoonmy, it defintely is a buyers market. Lets all share what we pay and maybe we all will get a good deal through Edmunds forum.

Thanks
