I'm right up above you in the Upstate. A colleague at work commented recently about Phil Hughes Honda over in Athens, GA. They beat out the Upstate dealers on price and he was very satisfied with the experience. He's pretty sharp with money and I know that he did his homework. Most Hondas around here come from Piedmont in Anderson or Breakaway in Greenville. I've never heard anything really bad about either but I don't know how they are on price. I had an 89 Accord many years ago and used Piedmont and Vic Bailey in Spartanburg for service and was happy with both.
Someone mentioned East Coast in Myrtle Beach. I believe that they are owned by the same people as Piedmont in Anderson. not positive though.
As far as small towns go, in my experience there has been a lot less sales pressure. My worst experiences have been in the bigger towns.
The two places I visited a few years ago in Atlanta were snake pits; I wouldn't go back to either if they were $3000 less.
IF you do your homework, you will get a good deal most anywhere. The big difference in my opinion is the culture of the dealership and the BS you have to endure to get there.
In 1996, my FIL bought my SIL a new Accord. There was a $200 difference between the Florence dealer and the Bennettsville dealer. (Bennettsville is tiny. They must have had the franchise since the 70's. Smallest town to have a Honda dealer that I have ever come across.)
Let us know what you find out. I don't have a local dealer here. GSP, Anderson, Augusta, Columbia, and Athens are all about the same distance away from home. I might be in the market for an Accord next year and would be interested in what you find.

I got the deal at Hardin Honda in Anaheim. They are really cool to deal with. Check there website and get in contact with the guy from the Internet dept. There is only one guy in the internet dept there so it should be easy.

We just received an offer for a 2008 Accord LX-P/Automatic, OTD for 21,750.00. We live in East Stroudsburg, PA; we contacted Route 22 Honda in NJ and best they could do was 22,100.00. Does this deal seem fair?

2008? 2009? You didn't specify.
By the way, the 4-cylinder isn't a "V4", it is an "Inline-4" or an "I4." Using the proper terms may influence the dealer to take you a little more seriously. Just trying to help.

Thanks for your input, I'm looking for 2008. I though that all EX engines are V-Tech for Honda Accord.
I that price seem fair in Houston?

VTEC refers to (Variable Timing with Electronic Control).
The "V" in "V6" stands for the Vee shape of the cylinders, in 2 banks of 3. In a 4-cylinder, they are all in a row, or "inline" 4-cylinders.
Here is a V6 engine block, you can see where the pistons go, in a Vee formation.
Here is an "inline-4" engine.
I hope that helps!
Regarding prices... did those quotes include all taxes and fees? Details would help.

Thanks for your fast respond
The price include every thing except TT&L
so it would be
2008 Accord EX V4 Sedan $22,200 + TT&L
2008 Accord EX V6 Sedan $23,500 + TT&L
I got a quote by accident from a dealer out of CA for 2009 ($22,800 + TT&L)
It's even lower than the quote I form from Houston dealer for 2008 accord
What am I doing wrong? please help
