Replying to: holew (Mar 09, 2008 7:21 pm) I just send out 3 emails for the quote, and I belive the first email from one of the dealer is already very good. Before I go out and buy it, could anyone confirm this is about the lowest price? He offered $23,712.98 with any accessories additional. (invoive price is $24,063). Of couse I need to pay registration and tax. And how to negotiate the accessory price? edmunds.com do not list the option price. Is there a good website we can check the option price? |

Haven't visited this dealer yet (so a small chance it is BS), but I got an email quote of: $ 25,595.00 (vehicle, destination, etc) $ 1535.10 (6% tax) $ 50.00 (If dade county tax implicable) $ 160.00 (Refundable transfer tag) ----------------- $ 27,340.10 It seems to me like this is low (edmunds shows the invoice include dest at $26,051). Verified NO DEALER FEES. Any feedback?

Replying to: isellhondas (Mar 07, 2008 4:11 pm) You obviously know better than I do -- since you sell Hondas. However, I am certain that my dealership indicated that Honda America, or whoever is responsible for allocating and distributing just-off-the-assembly-line Accords, will reallocate a Honda to any requesting dealership upon proof that the requesting dealership has an actual buyer. They told me that proof of my $500 deposit and my signed agreement to purchase the vehicle was all they needed to guaranty that the vehicle would be reallocated to my dealership. Was this not true?

Replying to: jb_turner (Mar 10, 2008 7:34 am) I have read you and others debates over the OTD price vs. not and don't want to reopen it. I myself subscribe to something in between, that is total price plus TTL (total price meaning selling price+destination+all add-ons+all dealer fees). I think This is the most reasonable way of comparing apples to apples since taxes and DMV fees differ county by county, etc. |

Replying to: bug4 (Mar 10, 2008 12:01 pm) There are some super secret code numbers that only the incoming dealer knows. If he gives his permission AND those code numbers to another dealer who wants that car, only then would the car get redirected. Just thinkabout the trouble this would cause between stores! |

Hers is what I paid for my 2008 Honda Accord EX-L / No Navigation. Black 4 door with Black Leather. I paid $24,660.00 OTD not including tax. Including. Pin Stripes, Mud Flaps, and Trunk Tray. I also recieved a $500.00 service department credit, to use towards anything I want. I had the windows tinted by the dealer for $200. I also got free unlimited car wash's during business hours. Sticker price was $26,992.00. Dave Mungenast Honda. AKA St Louis Honda |
