I was at DCH Honda in Paramus, NJ yesterday and they had no 08 V6 Auto Coupes VCM/w-Navi on the lot or to show. Said they are expecting some to come next week sometime. Honda in Clifton, NJ had 2 08 V6 Auto Coupes w/Navi , one on the floor and one downstairs. Route 23 Honda, (Pompton Plains, NJ), had no 08 V6 Auto Coupes w/Navi. I test drove a 4dr 08 V6 Sedan w/Auto w/Navi at Rt 23 and found the car to perform well without a problem with the VCM. The salesperson said they are getting them in but slowly and most are already under contract as they come in. He said the V6 6-speed stick is easier to get and keep on the lot. He is finding that the 08 Coupe V6 w/Navi, black on black is the hardest one to get and the most demanded. The lack of available V6 Accord Auto Coupes w/navi is not going to help negotiations. Anyone from the NE area have similar experiences finding a 08 V^ Auto w/Navi? What are the OTD prices?

I can't understand why someone would pay an extra $2000 for nav? I mean a decent small portable GPS unit is $200. Is it really worth getting it?

Hi, Just a silly question. Is it ok to directly forward an email quota from one deal to another, including dealer name and saleperson' s name? Or just the quota itself without mentioning any specific names. Tried to match prices between deals and was asked to bring in the written quota with the lower price. Thanks! |

| my 2 cents on getting quotes from dealers through Edmunds is for anyone who has not done this yet - be ready for the assault of messages that will be on your machine when you get home each night. I chose 'e-mail anytime' for my contact option, received one e-mail with an actual quote, a bunch of junk e-mail with no quotes asking me "when can you come in?" and many phone messages saying as much, also. My better sense told me to put a fake phone number in, but I shrugged it off thinking they'd eventually get tired of it if they did call me. It's not a big deal to me, but it is dishonest, careless or both on the dealer's part. Doesn't leave me with a good impression...at all. One dealer actually called me within 10 minutes with the "come in and we'll get ya free tinting tonight" line on a very rainy Saturday. Okay, gripe switch off now. Interestingly, the one dealer (John Eagle Honda/Dallas) whom I did get a quote from is the only one who hasn't left a bunch of annoying messages on my machine. I'm thinking of trying the fax/e-mail method, but I'm cooling off to the idea of getting an Accord for the time being...hoping wife opts for Camry instead. | |
