I purchased from Honda of Oakland. Dont deal with any of their salesperson on the floor.
Ask for "Tina" from Internet Department at the front desk and stay firm on the price of 21.6k-21.7k.
I played a different strategy. I went in looking for the 2007 Accord SE V6 and told them 18.5-18.6k for it (they were willing to sell it for 19.2k). Then I looked at the 08 and told them 21.5k for that.
I told them that I would take whichever one could get me my price but was more happy to get the 08.
If you want to have no hassles and just get it for 21.7k, just tell that that "Gundeep" referred you to them and you wont pay a penny more.
Also, regarding financing, make sure you go in with some alternative financing to negotiate with. First they offered us 6.49% through AHFC(my fico was 783) and I mentioned my Credit union which was offering 5.6%. Magically, AHFC offered 5.74% immediately
I think 08 Accords have 0% APR right now (till 10/31) if you finance less than 15k for short term ??

I do not believe this is the case. The subprime mess will cause the recession. The fair market value for this 08 EXL V6 is $24K and manufacturing cost is about $12K.

21K is a bit high for a 07 EXV6.. shop around and get it at a lower price.
Now why should we tell "Tina" that gundeep sent us

"The fair market value for this 08 EXL V6 is $24K and manufacturing cost is about $12K."
It is my understanding that the manufacturing cost for an 08 EXL V6 is $12,900.
#18067 of 32216 Is 21000 a good deal for 07 SE V6?
Oct 29, 2007 (4:45 pm)
Found an 07 SE V6. Local tax is 7%.
The out of door price is around 21000. Is this a good deal now? Any possibility to negotiate a few hundred bucks down?
Thank you very much.

You dont have to. I dont work for any car dealership. I was just a customer to the dealership.
You can just mention my name so that the dealer knows that you are not going to pay anything more than 21.7k price range (b/c then they know that you know the price they are willing to sell the car for). Helps in saving time.
for the 07 SE V6, Best quotes I got were 19k against my offer of 18.5k... 19k + TTL(~10%)=~20.5-21k range OTD
#18069 of 32216 OKAY, this is what I've done (08 Accord Coupe EX-L)
Oct 29, 2007 (5:21 pm)
Just got back from the dealership...
Went there to see what APR I can get. They said 8.14%, I told them I got 6.69% from a Credit Union, so they gave me 6.4%...
Nothing set in stone just yet, but I DID PUT A DEPOSIT ON THE V6 for now...
They gave me the option to go to a LESSER ACCORD COUPE if I want to...
So in the meantime, I'm deciding whether...
...I live TIGHT, but do-able, with the V6...
...live with some cushion with the EX-L 4 Cyl....
...or save $$$ with the EX or LX Coupe.
Now laugh if you want, but since no one was budging now, I will get it, which ever one I choose, at MSRP... No Invoice price, nothing less than MSRP, the price I pay for getting it now.
We went by the V6 Coupe, so my Drive-Out is... $30,950, $609/month
If I go EX-L 4 Cyl. Coupe... $28,450 Drive-Out, $560/Month
Now... let me have it, your opinions....
