Replying to: wellesley (Jul 27, 2007 9:04 pm) Thank you for your posting. I saw it Saturday morning and called the internet manager at Keenan. I picked up an SE that afternoon for the same discount. I was there today to get some spots cleaned on the body since we left the dealership late Saturday. My understanding is the discount has now been reduced to $2k, since they met there sales target. This is still better than I could find anywhere else in PA or NJ. Very good dealership to work with. I am very satisfied. They gave me a fair trade in value and the tags and title were competitively priced. They have a good selection of vehicles. I will probably go there for service, even though they are not the closest dealer. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

After I wanted to take off from their parking lot, they gave me another $1,250 on my trade less in than 1 minutes. However, it's still lower than KBB or even auction # so I did not get the car. By the way, I find the dealer to be less friendly, IMO. I know many dealers try to be BS a lot to sell a car but this one seems does not care (do too little to sell a car).

Many thanks to all who have posted their information here. Based on others' experience, I was able to negotiate a price on a VP-AT for an even $15,000 at Boch Honda in Norwood, MA. Ma tax is 5% ($750), title and tags are $84.50, and doc fees were $298. Total OTD was $16,132.50. For those who are interested in some of the analysis I did, I looked at what others have been reporting and saw that, on average, aggressive posters have been getting in the neighborhood of 83% of invoice price. Using that as my bogey, I pretty quickly got Boch to come down from their initial quote of $15,500 to $15,100. The last $100 came off when I complained that their $300 doc fee was pretty steep. For those looking at other trim levels, my general conclusion was that the following prices for AT 4 cyl models (including destination) are doable for dealers: VP - $15,039 LX - $16,159 SE - $16,902 EX - $18,167 EX-L - $19,557 People who have been reading this forum will note that ddwmew got his EX for $18,060 (and that I got my VP for $39 less than the above prices), so keep in mind that there may be even more money to be saved, but I think these are good guidelines. Another conclusion I have come to from this experience and from buying my other car is that the bigger dealers (by volume) just have more leeway to make better deals, as they seem to get enough of an incentive-- based on aggregate sales-- to be really aggressive on individual cars. I also have to agree with other posters that Boch, which claims to be the largest dealer in the country, was very easy to deal with. I called and asked to speak directly to a sales manager, and the guy I got was straightforward and no-nonsense. By contrast, both Honda Village and Herb Chambers tried to convince me that for this price, the car would not come with tires (of course, Herb Chambers then called me back to say they would meet Boch's price-- which was too little, to late). Other than the fact that I had to make two trips to Boch-- once to pay, and then, again, 2 days later to pick up the car, dealing with them was relatively painless, and I recommend them to anyone in the area. Thanks again to everyone else for posting all of your great data. Enjoy your new cars!

| Has anyone purchased a 2007 Accord EX - I4 Auto Trans recently in Upstate NY? Does anyone know what a typical price for this model is? | |

Replying to: smackldog (Jul 30, 2007 8:52 am) My local dealer started things off at almost $23K,($22,700ish) which is definitely far too steep for the "Honda Clearance." Since I'm out of town though, I'll handle it when I get back. |
