| ">my wife wanted the cool blue metallic Accord SE 4 AT and we picked it up on 7/9. The dealer Honda of Slidell (LA) had to get it from Alabama. No trade in, price 20,400 delivered and total otd price 21,792. We may have been able to get better price but we were in a bind since my wife's car was totaled recently(she had 95 Accord EX)She is happy with her car and got the color she wanted but I was suprised that the color was so hard to find. I financed with my bank & the F&I guy was pissed. Good experience overall though. | |

Might have done better, but my time has a value and this deal was really easy." Was the dealer in NoVA? $49 for paperwork? I don't think there's any dealer in NoVA that has a processing fee of $49 since most of them are usually from $289 up to $499. Kudos to you for getting them to agree to a proc. fee of just $49! You did great on that price. From what I understand, the MSRP is $20,925 (for an 5AT) not including freight and other fees, so that's $4,162 below MSRP, and $2,206 below Edmund's reported invoice (not including freight and any other fees, etc.). Congratulations! Regards, David

After all, it is an easy game to say "match others" but also a pretty cheap one. No, the other dealers had their chance and did not take it. Could I have saved another few bills? Maybe, maybe not, but it would have been at the risk of hassle and disappointment. So I saved a good part of my Saturday and took the best deal offered, which I thought was decent. Dealer experience was very good, too. A little sell on the extended warranty, but not too hard. It's funny: the reason I bought an Accord was to do without maintenance and repair hassles. Why would I then want the extended warranty?

Sorry to hear about the title mess up on your VW. Enjoy your new car! |
