For like $80 you can spend the next 5-8 years holding on to something nice and comfortable vs a hard vinyl plasticy thing. If you did the wheel and the shift knob, it would make everything you have to touch every time you get in the car feel so much better.

Including trunk tray, wheel locks and wheel guards. Rick Case Honda, Maroone Honda of Hollywood and Ed Morse Honda also gave very competitive quotes. It's definitely worth the drive, in my opinion.

Will post what finally happens. THANK YOU ALL! This has been helpful and like many others, I *wish* I had done a more thorough job of reading the forum *before* I went in. |

One does it because "they all do it" - sooner or later they will figure out they are losing business to other dealerships and get with the program or face being a dealership that will not sell as many cars as they could. If they made up for high fees with lower prices it would be one thing, but to offer a similar or even higher price AND a high fee just spells "walk away". I had the sales manager at a local Scion dealership (no haggle, fixed price buying) tell me he got lots of business from folks far away because his doc fee was $50 less than the others. They could not dicker on the price, but they could save themselves $50 by doing a little extra driving - and they did. Dennis |
