Well, after doing much reading on the site i finally made my puchase today. Prob. didnt break any closing speed records (was there 5 hours w/ preg. wife). We decided on the V6 when they agreed to 4000 off MSRP, and they came close to what we wanted on trade in.
Graphite Pearl with Grey Leather Int.
Wheel Locks
Mud Guards Tried to charge me 189 for these and i had to have them waive that.

Yes, my car is an automatic. I didn't even try to sit in the IS250 at the auto show. I couldn't even fit too well in the TSX backseat without the front seat being pulled forward a decent amount. I'm all legs though, as my torso isn't very tall. I guess that's a good thing sometimes, since my head doesn't even brush the roof in my car with a moonroof!

The mileage listed by the EPA did not change, as you say correctly. Maybe the electronic-throttle makes things slightly more efficient than the traditional throttle? I dunno. I know I like my car, quite simply put.

Accord EX Cloth for 21,200 a great deal? by biyids

From Memphis, TN: I was offered an Accord EX Cloth for 21,200 (excluding TTL). The dealership agreed to throw in moonroof visor and mudguard. Is this a great deal? Compared with (1) 2007 Camry LE, 4 cylinder which I was offered for $20,000 (excluding TTL)with no additional options, and (2) 2006 Avalon EXL cloth for $24,900. I am undecided, any suggestion?

Considering I've seen a price for an LX-V6 for $21,000 on here, I'd think you could get a better price if you keep searching.

Just bought EX 4cylinder cloth no options added except for wheel locks in Maryland this evening for $21,500.I don't think the moonroof visor is worth that much. I think you could do better.

I'm hoping that you (lam2ray) meant that $21,500 was an OTD price.

OH YES! Sorry for not making myself clearer. $21,500 OTD from Criswell Honda in Germantown, MD. Could have done away with the 100 bucks wheel locks though.

Actually I didn't have a CL. I do own a 93 Vigor which has 215,000 miles on it. A few years back when the 2nd gen CLs came out, I was thinking one of those would be my first new car. But looking back now, I'm actually more happy with the 06 Accord 6MT. The car is essentially the same as the CL minus the limited slip (which some have said can actually be used in the 6MT Accord), a couple HP, some luxury items, and 7 grand price tag. While the CL is nice, it is a heavy and large vehicle so I'd assume that even with the type-s package, the Accord probably feels more agile than a CL. I've never driven one though so I can't really say for sure.

In 2004 when I was looking at buying the Accord 6MT, I was debating it vs an Acura TSX. In many ways I liked and still do like the TSX, but I couldn't justify spending more money for two less cylinders, 40 less hp, and premium fuel requirement. My thoughts are still the same now. Sure there are some features in the Acura line that I would like to have, namely HID lights, bluetooth integration, etc, but for the most part the Accord has what I want at a price that is tough to beat. And I don't really have a problem with that. I think now more than ever, it's becoming more and more difficult to justify buying a luxury marque when the standard models have near luxury features. Acura has to have model specific features to differientiate itself from the Honda line, but unfortunately I'm not going to shell out an additional 5-7k for premium features. If price wasn't a factor, of course I would be willing to purchase an Acura TL or TSX, but me like most people a couple grand more isn't a drop in the bucket.

I think the Accord V6 6MT is one of the best deals going. I thought that a few years back when the 6MT model first came out. Sure its not a RWD sports car but to be able to get a solid V6 with great features and the Honda name for 23,500, to me it seemed like a no brainer.

2006 Accord EX-L 4dr auto with Nav in Norcal by poweredbyjae

Got a quote from 3 different dealerships in Norcal, ranging between $22939-$23200 +TTL. I ended up purchasing for $23200 + TTL simply because the dealership I chose had the color I wanted right then and there, and didn't try to dance with me with unncessary doc fees/security fees/bal bla

MSRP - $26950
Invoice - $24,253
$750 cash back fac rebate
True Invoice price not counting dealer holdback- $23503

Any thoughts if I paid a fair price?
