Accord LX Deal by fisherman2

I went car shopping with my gf for an Accord with her 21 yr old son Sat.I knew I could get an Accord for invoice minus approx 550 from a couple of different dealers. My biggest problem was his trade which was a 99 Galante ES with 105k on it.It was also involved in an accident earlier this month. It had a crumpled front hood, grille gone, broken left headlight and damage underneath.I saw that a Galante in poor condition should fetch approx 2200,but I knew this was going to be tough. The first 2 dealers only offered 500 for trade so that killed the deal before we began. The third dealer,Tom's River Honda (NJ) got the deal, but they were the biggest bunch of shyster car salesman I ever dealt with.
Because it was the end of the month and they were also doing a promotion,it was very busy there. To make a long story short,I outtalked the salesmanger, and we got an LX with pin striping, door edge guards in Gray for 17,100,which they gave us 2,000 for the trade. The price of the car was around invoice. After the deal was struck, they tried everything in their power to try an screw us,get us angry an leave.Even the financing was a problem, due to great credit we wanted 5.9 an they tried to trick us into signing for probably close to 8.
They were the biggest pack of crooks I ever had to deal with.If we weren't getting such a great deal I would have made them walk. That trade was a POS,if I had got 800 I thought that would be max,but I saw where the sales manager was going right off an he agreed to invoice an 2 grand for trade before he tried to tank us.
First time I think I totally outsmarted a bunch of crooks.

2006 VP AT Chicagoland $16,875 +TTL by wagnerpe

I just wanted to confirm my recent transaction with McGrath Honda in St. Charles, IL.

The pricing was completed over e-mail and the entire transaction went very smoothly. McGrath does not stock any VPs, so once everything was settled, we did have to put down a deposit ($500) and they found one at a local dealer and brought it in. Since I was going to put at least that much down in cash anyway, I didn't mind the deposit (they do take Credit Cards), but keep it in mind if you want to purchase from there. We had to bring our two small kids with us on Friday night to pick up the car, and the dealership has a small, but clean and nice playroom in which we were able to wait with them and they stayed entertained while we waited for the finance person to be available.

When you get your Honda survey, make sure to give them low marks. You could even report them the the Better Business Bureau. Sounds like you did well and who really wants to buy a used Galante? They took a bath to sell units so good going! Last day of the month is a real charm.

That is an excellent deal. I purchased an '06 VP Auto a month ago for $16,700 + TTL. The color was alabaster silver and the total price came out to $17,843 OTD. I live in Massachusetts.

Ok so I mis-spelled Galant....no glasses.LOL
If we get the survey, we are gonna pound the crap out of them.We have even considered called Honda Headquarters in another couple days.
This really was a good deal though. We were looking around at used Accords and it seems for a couple thousand more we got a brand new one rather than one 3 years old or so with 40-50 K 15,000

Just bought a 2006 Honda Accord LX SE 4-dr. Auto (red in color) from Wilde Honda in Waukesha Wisconsin for $16998.00 (internet quote) plus tax title and plates and only $89.00 dealership fee for a OTD price of $18150.00 total. internet price. I was a very easy proces with no games unlike other Milwaukee area dealerships ans the process took less than two hours, no pressure to buy additional items, but did also give me two free oil changes as well.

A total great experience, like it should be.

Honda EX-L V6 by r3drum1

Paid about 26900 OTD for Honda EX-L V6, no Navi. Finance dept wanted to add in extras totaling up to 3000 in addition to OTD price. Originally took it because the payments were not that much different. As I was walking out the office, I finally notice the OTD price was now over 30k. I requested for it off, than was offered 2 year maintenance, car protection and alarm for 1500, and motnhly payments reduced by about a dollar. Thought about for a long period of time, but that 1500$ really was too much for me to swallow even though the payment would about the same. Should I have taken the deal? Was the OTD price a good deal? I'm having doubts about everything now.
BTW, the car is nice, too much road noise tho, and you will feel the bumps. Would of liked to check out the new Camry .

What was your price before taxes, tags, and fees? That's the only way anyone can tell if your OTD price was good or not.

Did not pay too much attention to that, even tho the saleman showed the cost. I know I should of paid more attention. I was just not confortable with paying 28-30k for an accord, if I had that budget in mind, I would of opted for the Navi or even a different made model.

Purchased a Graphite Pearl Accord Coupe in San Diego last weekend. I traded in my pick-up as I was tired of the behemoth proportions of the truck, and the gas bills! I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love the look of the Coupe. It is a V6 and has all the luxury I need. I love the XM radio, I already have XM 2 Go, so I can now subscribe for the car for $6.99 per month. MSRP was $27,950. I had e-mailed back and forth to the internet sales dept. until I got the price down to $24,732 before tax and fees. OTD price was $26,943. Dealer was Poway Honda and they are a pleasure to deal with.
