I sent out for quotes through Edmunds today to five dealers in NC. Without negotiating yet, I got this offer on an EX w/o leather, but with the run of the mill dealer installed mud guards and wheel locks. 22,148.41 OTD That's 20,896 + 650 nc tax, 60+ registration, and 399 doc fees. Does this sound good? What would be the best way to get a moonroof guard and a rear spoiler without paying full price. I was thinking of coming back with 20,496 or same pric with both. Is that pushing it? Thanks, Kyle NC By the way, those of you from NC looking for an SE, I got an OTD on that for 20,479...just so you can use that in your research.

Replying to: kyle30 (Apr 29, 2006 3:00 pm) Sounds like you may be pushing it with the $20,496 for both. Using the above technique may get you one additionay accessory for $20,896 - $21,000. All-in-all, not bad prices either way. |

Hey guys, The best deal I found so far was $16,600 + TTL for '06 VP Auto. I just bought it today and the total came out to be $18,188. It was for the royal blue color, which I don't think is too popular. Is this a good deal? What prices did you guys get? |

I went car shopping with my gf for an Accord with her 21 yr old son Sat.I knew I could get an Accord for invoice minus approx 550 from a couple of different dealers. My biggest problem was his trade which was a 99 Galante ES with 105k on it.It was also involved in an accident earlier this month. It had a crumpled front hood, grille gone, broken left headlight and damage underneath.I saw that a Galante in poor condition should fetch approx 2200,but I knew this was going to be tough. The first 2 dealers only offered 500 for trade so that killed the deal before we began. The third dealer,Tom's River Honda (NJ) got the deal, but they were the biggest bunch of shyster car salesman I ever dealt with. Because it was the end of the month and they were also doing a promotion,it was very busy there. To make a long story short,I outtalked the salesmanger, and we got an LX with pin striping, door edge guards in Gray for 17,100,which they gave us 2,000 for the trade. The price of the car was around invoice. After the deal was struck, they tried everything in their power to try an screw us,get us angry an leave.Even the financing was a problem, due to great credit we wanted 5.9 an they tried to trick us into signing for probably close to 8. They were the biggest pack of crooks I ever had to deal with.If we weren't getting such a great deal I would have made them walk. That trade was a POS,if I had got 800 I thought that would be max,but I saw where the sales manager was going right off an he agreed to invoice an 2 grand for trade before he tried to tank us. First time I think I totally outsmarted a bunch of crooks.

I just wanted to confirm my recent transaction with McGrath Honda in St. Charles, IL. The pricing was completed over e-mail and the entire transaction went very smoothly. McGrath does not stock any VPs, so once everything was settled, we did have to put down a deposit ($500) and they found one at a local dealer and brought it in. Since I was going to put at least that much down in cash anyway, I didn't mind the deposit (they do take Credit Cards), but keep it in mind if you want to purchase from there. We had to bring our two small kids with us on Friday night to pick up the car, and the dealership has a small, but clean and nice playroom in which we were able to wait with them and they stayed entertained while we waited for the finance person to be available. |
