You're here early badulah: Hey Lefty! moderator_kh: and lefty too! moderator_kh: We missed ya last week, but mouse & I carried on. badulah: Lefty is once again having technical problems badulah: I saw the transcript moderator_kh: Did you know the chats are being logged now? We plan on posting transcripts each week. moderator_kh: Oh cool. I didn't know if it was up yet. badulah: Thats what I saw moderator_kh: Hopefully some of the "maybe" folks will see how low stress we are and will elect to join us. badulah: The summer months are rough for stuff like this mouse409: has joined the chat. moderator_kh: I figure some people think you have to know a lot about cars in general/Cougars specifically to join in, but heck, if you look at the Mazda Protege transcript (i think), they are talking about everything under the sun. badulah: Mouse!! moderator_kh: hiya mouse! badulah: check out the following link: moderator_kh: Ok, shoot. badulah: http:www.cougarsupportgroup.com/photoalbum.htm moderator_kh: Is that the link to your pictures from a few weeks ago? badulah: No, its from Lake Placid. The Lime Rock pics will be up soon. As soon as we receive all of them from the attending members mouse409: hi people moderator_kh: I was looking for them last week, but I don't think they were up yet. stageleft: has joined the chat. stageleft: Hey everybody stageleft: ! moderator_kh: Let me have a look at the pics that ARE up. moderator_kh: My poor computer is sooooo slow, but hopefully they'll load OK. mouse409: I broke my camera 5 min after we got tot lime rock badulah: Does that link work? moderator_kh: Yeah, it's loading now. stageleft: Really? Is that why you weren't taking pictures? badulah: http:www.cougarsupportgroup.com/photoalbum.htm moderator_kh: Lefty, what's with the lag time loading the pics from lime rock? mouse409: yes, stupidity, operator problems badulah: Like I said, we haven’t gotten all of them back from the people who attended the event stageleft: Too many pics on the page. stageleft: They should be small compared to the first time they were posted. mouse409: got 2 pics of the car in the lot, thats it. badulah: I designed the page, and lefty modified some of the files for faster loading. I will try and do a better job with the Lime Rock Pics moderator_kh: The Lake Placid pics downloaded pretty quickly, so you did fine on that set. moderator_kh: badulah looks like the mystery man in lp069.jpg. badulah: did you first say they were downloading slowly? moderator_kh: No, I was just worried that it would be slow because of my slow PC/connection. badulah: has joined the chat. moderator_kh: Don't leave mad, badulah. stageleft: Cool. Just checking. mouse409: ploop badulah: What pic is that one? stageleft: Fizz badulah: What does the caption say under it? moderator_kh: fastback2, badulah, and stageleft, left to right. badulah: I look fat in that pic moderator_kh: atop white face mountain. stageleft: LOL! badulah: The wind puffed up my shirt moderator_kh: You look like you're a fugitive. mouse409: ya stageleft: We felt like it. mouse409: i got that problem also badulah: Combat action Badulah: Battle Action Cougar Sold Separately moderator_kh: mouse, are there any pictures of you/your car on the 'net? badulah: Mouse was there mouse409: don’t know moderator_kh: badulah, you're killing me. I'm trying to eat pizza here! badulah: mouse409: mine it the top of the page stageleft: unga bunga moderator_kh: I'm going to scroll through and see if mouse is in any of them. You're the only person I haven't seen yet! mouse409: your not missin anything badulah: First page last pic. THERE IS MOUSE!!! mouse409: kool stageleft: What, where, Mouse who? moderator_kh: OK, i just hit the "page two" link... gotta hit back. mouse409: how do you guys see the pics badulah: Page 2 has individual pics of us with our cats moderator_kh: first page last pic is just a bunch of cats. badulah: did you get the link mouse? moderator_kh: I found one that says "mouse409 and his cat", so we'll see what that holds. mouse409: screwed it up, i think badulah: www.cougarsupportgroup.com/photoalbum.htm mouse409: screwed it up i think moderator_kh: Mouse looks great, but the cat is in the dark! badulah: What size monitor do you have KH? And what is your res set to? stageleft: There's a link from the regular CSG site moderator_kh: Um... um... um... badulah, the questions are just too hard. moderator_kh: Little monitor here... 15 inches, i reckon. stageleft: How big are your icons? stageleft: Don't take that wrong. moderator_kh: lefty, that's sooooo personal. But I trust you: 800x600 stageleft: CSG thinktank mouth badulah: I use 1024x768 stageleft: I think the page is designed for `024x768 badulah: LOL!!!! moderator_kh: Yeah, at work I can do that well, but I've got a 19 or 21 inch monitor too. badulah: I will have to rethink the design when I do the Lime Rock Page mouse409: I’m lost, don’t know what I got badulah: I have a 19 here at home stageleft: 17" badulah: Did you find the link mouse? mouse409: 17" moderator_kh: Well, keep in mind that very few people are as low-tech as me at home. We're upgrading soon. mouse409: ya , now what do I do with it? stageleft: Currently I'm using a 9.7" because the big computer is on the satellite stageleft: That's satellite, and did I mention the keyboard is smaller? moderator_kh: lefty, is that a laptop? badulah: cut and paste it in to a explorer browser window and hit enter. That will take you to the page stageleft: Yeah. moderator_kh: Otherwise, you got ripped off for the monitor, big time. badulah: Its from an Apple IIC from 1985 stageleft: I guess really, it's a "sub-notebook" stageleft: It's really tiny. badulah: He was supposed to use a new window mouse409: has joined the chat. moderator_kh: mouse is having the same problem I used to have. stageleft: And I have really large hands. moderator_kh: lefty, I'd be surprised if you didn't... you look rather above average height in the pictures. badulah: their so big that the drag on the ground behind him when he walks moderator_kh: unless badulah is about 5'2" mouse409: got it but I loose u guys stageleft: Yeah, I could stand taller than two cougars stacked up badulah: Open a separate window moderator_kh: mouse, you gotta open up a new window first. mouse409: I need a stepladder to talk to lefty badulah: Mouse: Are you using Internet explorer? moderator_kh: mouse, you and I both! mouse409: I got computer props, only 1 window at a time stageleft: Oh, thanks KH, for getting the chat transcripts on the CSG forum. badulah: yeah thanks! mouse409: 2 programs and we crash moderator_kh: lefty, that was dana's idea... I am doing some editing, but she is the initiator of the idea. moderator_kh: It's a great idea, though. badulah: Mouse: I guess you will have to wait until after the session. How old is your PC? stageleft: Well then, thank Dana - if she doesn't show up tonight. mouse409: 2.5 years mouse409: Ill try it later badulah: I wonder why you can't open 2 windows at once? moderator_kh: younger than mine, mouse. Mine is 3.5 yrs old. I think it's a 166 mHz, and when I got it i thought it was super fast. mouse409: Sals got too much junk on this one badulah: c: format moderator_kh: badulah, that's interesting. mouse409: I like livin too much lol badulah: that would take care os Sal's stuff moderator_kh: ah.... moderator_kh: but all the other stuff as well, right? stageleft: Sure would! badulah: True true stageleft: Sure would! moderator_kh: badulah, you look like you are in hiding in every one of these pictures. mouse409: did that at work by mistake, years ago badulah: I'm hoping to have the Lime Rock stuff up by next week. badulah: I just need Lefty's pics and Fastback's pics moderator_kh: Were you incognito there as well? badulah: Actually I hate being in pics. stageleft: When you're behind the camera all the time, like Badulah ... mouse409: I’m there guarding the beer stageleft: The big show is this Friday!!! moderator_kh: he he... there are a few of you in there, mouse. badulah: You and Kate moderator_kh: What's up this friday? stageleft: Speedvision at 8pm, Friday. badulah: actually Kate was stealing the beer badulah: This Friday!? stageleft: The race where we get to be on TV!!! stageleft: Yes!!! stageleft: I'm taping it . moderator_kh: Is that a channel, or the name of the show? badulah: I WISH I HAD SPEEDVISION!!! YA GOTTA TAPE IT LEFTY!! stageleft: Speedvision is the channel. mouse409: this friday GOT to watch that if I get it stageleft: The show is the GT and Touring car challenge badulah: I should drive down so we can watch it together stageleft: We could laugh, and cry, in remembrance moderator_kh: I don't think I get that channel. I get 150 channels, and wouldn't you know that that's not one of them. badulah: Same here KH mouse409: cry in our beer LOL stageleft: It rained hard. That's all I'm saying. moderator_kh: It would be like "Terms of Endearment" all over again. stageleft: Or Officer and a Gentleman stageleft: Or Waiting to Exhale mouse409: Did it Rain that weekend???? badulah: Didn't see either of them stageleft: Or Mystic Pizza moderator_kh: Me neither, badulah. Chick flicks:) badulah: you seem like the chick flick type stageleft: This is what I'm subjected to by Marriage .... moderator_kh: Hey! Watch what you're saying. stageleft: <---cringes mouse409: get more TV's badulah: Thank GOD I am still single moderator_kh: Actually, we watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon for the first time last night.... badulah: Single and unemployed. I have nothing to worry about stageleft: How did you like it? stageleft: No good? mouse409: Retired....my dream moderator_kh: If that had beaten Gladiator for Best Picture, it would have been a crime. mouse409: Bad ... your there stageleft: Ii still haven't seen Gladiator. stageleft: Yikes, right? moderator_kh: lefty, GREAT guy film. badulah: (Badulah's lips are moving, but not to the rhythm of the words you hear) MMMMMMM, so you want to fight? Fight me!!!! mouse409: I just saw Titanic stageleft: I bet. moderator_kh: badulah, have you been dubbed? stageleft: Not knighted. stageleft: Earl of Sandwich badulah: I HATED Titanic with an undying passion moderator_kh: no. dubbed, meaning he needs subtitles:) moderator_kh: <--never saw Titanic. badulah: Earl of unemployment stageleft: Play on words (something I do, sorry) mouse409: Last movie I saw in the theater moderator_kh: I have seen MOST bad movies (on DVD), but not that one. stageleft: Duke of Earl of Unemployment? badulah: You called Lefty? mouse409: I like to call it working for the state moderator_kh: Name the worst movie you've seen, EVER. stageleft: I had to leave a message. badulah: Twin Peaks: Come Fire Walk With Me stageleft: Probably some B-rated thing that went terribly wrong. badulah: TOTAL CRAP!!!!!! moderator_kh: badulah, that's not even an enticing title. moderator_kh: lefty, I mean a "real" movie, one that attempts to be serious. stageleft: Oh. Let me think ... badulah: My friend's girlfriend talked us in to going to see it. It made NO sense from start to finish. We got so bored we actually go up, laid down in the isle and rolled down the center of the theater. moderator_kh: It is a toss-up for me -- I don't know whether to count "Primary Colors" since I turned it off 1/2 way through. If so, that's it. Otherwise, it could be "Pushing Tin." mouse409: sounds KOOL!!! badulah: It was moderator_kh: badulah, was that more fun, or just less sleep-inducing? badulah: both of us got yelled at by her. badulah: It was fun mouse409: You shoulda had your horn badulah: LOL!!! badulah: That would have woken everyone up badulah: I love that thing mouse409: oh ya stageleft: So, I want to test my theory, but I may be going over my head: My friend's sister just got a new BMW 330i, and I want to see if I can keep up. badulah: Scares the crap out of my neighbors all the time moderator_kh: keep up how, lefty? stageleft: Scared you when it blew up in your hand. badulah: Should be an interesting race. What is your theory? stageleft: In the Cougar mouse409: gotta get me one of those stageleft: I'm thinking I could keep up until the BMW pulled all the way out in front until I couldn't see it anymore. badulah: They have them at the automotive stores, like PEP boys stageleft: Then I'd have a coffee and a donut and see if it came back. badulah: Lefty: Huh? moderator_kh: lefty, so like the first 1.3 seconds you'd be OK? stageleft: Yup. stageleft: Then it would be all BMW badulah: you could keep up with a 325 and maybe a 325, but a 330? stageleft: Sad, except for I could keep up in the corners. stageleft: I'd try. badulah: thats a 323 and a 325 stageleft: I knew what you meant. badulah: I have raced a few 323s on the highway moderator_kh: lefty, maybe a little sabotage would help. stageleft: They're too easy. badulah: I love the surprised look I always get from the driver stageleft: I love the looks on their faces as you pass though. mouse409: maybe u could borrow Leo's stageleft: THAT would be sweeeeet. badulah: I would LOVE to drive Leos for a few laps stageleft: Or a large stick in the spokes, eh KH? moderator_kh: Well, most people are probably surprised considering the other models that Mercury are known for. moderator_kh: lefty, it looks comparable in, erm... shininess, to a BMW. mouse409: you will loose when you think, you win when you KNOW you can win moderator_kh: I think you could take it in a "shiny" competition. moderator_kh: mouse, our pub philosopher. stageleft: It's better looking than the German utilitarian design!! mouse409: think POSITIVE stageleft: I just caught a fly in my chopsticks. mouse409: just an old drag racer badulah: Wise man once say: Never drive shiny cougar through the yellow snow mouse409: so i don’t drive in any snow stageleft: And never buy Cougar from brother Shecky ... moderator_kh: ...and never leave Crayons in back window on hot sunny day. stageleft: Yikes!!! You win, call it off! badulah: I take it you did that once KH mouse409: $233 for my new wheel stageleft: That's harsh. Crayons are bd. stageleft: You got one, then? moderator_kh: badulah, I'd say several times. mouse409: coming mouse409: Sal had to have it stageleft: Cool. stageleft: LOL! moderator_kh: mouse, a steering wheel? mouse409: Im gonna make a planter out of the old one badulah: You got it already Mouse? badulah: $233 is steep for a 15" wheel. mouse409: oh ya stageleft: I use an old spare wheel to hold the music stand down. mouse409: I know moderator_kh: <--driving a mazda 626 this week. stageleft: Just checking. stageleft: Why? moderator_kh: My car still has not been fixed by the dealership. They said they had it ready on friday, and they had done almost nothing in a week's time. badulah: How do you like the Mazda? moderator_kh: But what they did do was return it to me with the floormats soaking wet, soap still in them. So that's cool. stageleft: Shoulda bought a Cougar ... I'm sorry to hear that all dealer service departments are the same. moderator_kh: badulah, I think it is OK. I had a mazda before, and they are incredibly reliable. But I like *my* car much better. stageleft: Oh, yay! (rolls his eyes) moderator_kh: Yeah, and they put some shiny stuff on the tires. stageleft: I love having the grease all around the hood area when getting it back from an oil change. badulah: I noticed that Edmunds is making an owners club for Kia owners. These people actually want to be identified? mouse409: I got that here stageleft: LOL LOL moderator_kh: badulah, you are a harsh man. mouse409: LOL moderator_kh: maybe they need "support." stageleft: Hey now ... badulah: I speak the truth. Most people can't handle the truth (In his best Jack Nickelson voice) stageleft: That sounded horrible. mouse409: LOL badulah: The loaner I had should have come with a disguise moderator_kh: badulah, so you've actually driven one. I thought you were bashing without experience. badulah: Yeah I know. Dog chow, chop liver badulah: Nope I had a Purple Kia Sephia loner. mouse409: What color? moderator_kh: purple, a VERY manly color. stageleft: With no tint to hide your shame. mouse409: PLurple badulah: The Grape Ape Mobile moderator_kh: Speaking of bashing... tomorrow night we are having an SUV-related chat... stageleft: A color generally referring to Purple, but not quite in the same gender category: Plurple badulah: Do you expect a lot of bashing to occur? stageleft: It's the CSG word of the week. mouse409: OCCURE stageleft: ? moderator_kh: badulah, yup. The name of it is "I don't like SUVs... why do you? stageleft: Because they're cool, if you're a "truck person" moderator_kh: occur, yeah!! Finally someone has invented a word this week. stageleft: Mouse> did we have trouble with the cat and the keyboard? moderator_kh: There are a load of us working that chat because it could be crazy, but fun I'm sure. moderator_kh: You always get a few nutters in there. mouse409: always stageleft: Bounce 'em badulah: I don't like SUVs mouse409: bad man said that mouse409: do get me started mouse409: That was DONT stageleft: Oh, I see ... Captain Fingers = the Badman badulah: If I didn't have to work, I would consider joining the chat stageleft: However, I think I'd speculate by saying "a different colored KIA for each day of the week. mouse409: Hello stageleft: LOL! moderator_kh: badulah, there's a job you could aim for. badulah: (If you would like to make a call, please........) moderator_kh: lefty, is that YOUR answer, or badulah's answer? stageleft: Captain sarcasm. stageleft: Badulah's answer! stageleft: You know it's true. moderator_kh: captain irony to the rescue. badulah: I need to buy an ice cream truck and sell ice cream for the summer. mouse409: The Weakest link badulah: goodbye! badulah: Hello? moderator_kh: badulah, you could probably get ahold of an ambulance seeing as you're working the 911 center. Just remember to slow down, or you'll never sell any ice cream. stageleft: But the morgue truck has the cooler. badulah: I could advertise for Edmunds and the CSG on the truck stageleft: Wear your safety belts. mouse409: how could u take that music all the time? stageleft: Mozart had a good thing going. badulah: I would play my own music. My business, my music moderator_kh: mouse, the insanity of the job would get to you before the music. mouse409: Mister Softee badulah: I would play the gran turismo II Sound track all day long "Move aside and let the man go through, let the man go through" stageleft: LOL! badulah: I downloaded the soundtrack and burned it on to CD. I crank it in my car all the time stageleft: That must sound pretty good. moderator_kh: badulah, nothing like scaring your customers. badulah: I could play some Marlyn Manson for the kitties stageleft: You could always sell rides in your Cougar. stageleft: And Snoop for the Doggies? mouse409: there will be dancing in the streets badulah: "Sit down, buckle up, and shut up!!" moderator_kh: free ice cream for Cougar drivers? stageleft: Rolling what? badulah: and cute chickas badulah: I'll be like Joey from friends when he works in the coffee shop moderator_kh: OK boyz, time to pack up for this evening badulah: bummer stageleft: Thanks again KH! badulah: Yeah thanks KH!! stageleft: Take care Mouse! Have a great evening! mouse409: time flys when ur havin fun badulah: Have a GREAT night KH, Mouse & Lefty!!! stageleft: Later Badulah! moderator_kh 3: has joined the chat. stageleft: KH!!! moderator_kh 3: So sorry about that... moderator_kh 3: I couldn't get in. badulah: Yeah yeah sure sure. badulah: If you guys would just hire lefty and my self, you wouldn't have these problems moderator_kh 3: But hey, three KHs is way better than 1. mouse409: Hi kh moderator_kh 3: If I could only find the other 2 of me. moderator_kh 3: Heya mouse. stageleft: They're in your cache ... mouse409: a 3 oooh wow moderator_kh 3: badulah, just develop a little chat software that doesn't have problems, and voila! it'd be a done deal. badulah: Yeah sure. As if getting hired is that easy moderator_kh 3: ha! I suspect you'd be a gazillionaire if you could do that. mouse409: I think I got pc problems badulah: Chat programs are a dime a dozen these days moderator_kh 3: you too, mouse? moderator_kh 3: sure they are, badulah, but not trouble-free programs. stageleft: Is anything really "trouble-free"? moderator_kh 3: me, lefty. badulah: I am stageleft: LOL!!!! badulah: Minus the mental problems moderator_kh 3: The Cougar? moderator_kh 3: Um, buying a car? stageleft: I like to skirt the edge of trouble-free. stageleft: What kind of cars have you looked at/test driven? badulah: Sheesh. Did you guys read the post about the guy who flipped his Cat? badulah: Rickel is his name stageleft: Yeah, Rickel is lucky. moderator_kh 3: No, I was in there earlier and didn't get to that one. moderator_kh 3: How'd he do it? stageleft: Too bad he didn't like the new one's design. moderator_kh 3: Seems that the Cat would be difficult to flip. stageleft: He'll probably end up with an Audi or something. badulah: A deer ran out in front of him and he turned in to the guard rail moderator_kh 3: ouch. Is it totalled? stageleft: Yup. moderator_kh 3: and more importantly, is he OK? stageleft: Yup. stageleft: The car saved him. badulah: He got a bump on the head and was out cold for a minute, but is fine other wise stageleft: Had it been an inferior product (chevy) it would have probably been worse. moderator_kh 3: Really? good advertisement for the car, though I suspect that's not the reason most people go shopping for it. stageleft: (honda) stageleft: Bleah ...}-P badulah: HEY!!! Watch the Chevy comments bucko!! moderator_kh 3: lefty, I've seen some ugly ones. moderator_kh 3: Badulah a Chevy fan? Hm... stageleft: They're all ugly. badulah: I'm sure you meant to say Honda stageleft: Wouldn't think it, eh? stageleft: I did. None are not included! stageleft: LOL! moderator_kh 3: No, I didn't think Chevy/Ford fans mixed. stageleft: We're just the fans of the ba*tar* step-children of Ford - Mercury. stageleft: Kinda stinks that way sometimes. moderator_kh 3: Mouse, you OK? Still here? badulah: My last car was an 87 IROC-Z stageleft: (snicker) badulah: Even Lefty likes the Vette moderator_kh 3: Why'd you get rid of it, then? badulah: HEY!!! You drove a Geo Storm! stageleft: D'oh! I thought that secret was safe! moderator_kh 3: I had a 'vette years ago. moderator_kh 3: A Che-vette badulah: Mod KH: What would you rather have, a Geo Storm or an IROC-Z? Humm? stageleft: LOL! stageleft: The Storm would out-handle the IROC. moderator_kh 3: Me? I'd actually take the Storm because it's easier on gas:) badulah: By Mouse!! stageleft: Just couldn't keep up. moderator_kh 3: I'm not a real sporty driver. moderator_kh 3: Poor mouse. stageleft: I wonder if he opened another window ... badulah: (shakes his head back and forth) What a sorry bunch stageleft: He's having problems with his PC. moderator_kh 3: badulah, not everyone likes to collect speeding tickets as a hobby. stageleft: I think I've decided on tires though. Nitto NT-450's for $86 a piece. moderator_kh 3: That's a car that says "c'mon, pull me over" badulah: Actually, I never got a ticket in the IROC badulah: I get stopped more in the Cat. And thats a fact stageleft: It couldn't go fast enough - or - they couldn't see him through the cloud of smoke. stageleft: LOL! stageleft: The Cat looks faster. moderator_kh 3: it's very sleek. stageleft: Thanks. moderator_kh 3: $86 A PIECE for tires?? moderator_kh 3: Wait... badulah: That car ran perfect. It was in mint condition. I had it custom built from a friend stageleft: High-performance tires. stageleft: I'm sure it did. I'm just joshin' with you. moderator_kh 3: At first that sounded like a lot, but I think I paid $225 for 4 very average, family car tires last time. badulah: What size? stageleft: 205/55-16 stageleft: I found out that it's what they used to put on the Contour SVT. moderator_kh 3: I have no idea what that means, apart from the "16" bit. stageleft: So it shouldn't mess with the speedo that much. stageleft: 205 millimeters wide, with a sidewall that's 55% of the width, by a 16" wheel. moderator_kh 3: ah.... 205 is mm. I knew the 16" part. badulah: I wanted to tell you that 205s came on the older style of the eclipse and I remember reading a forum here on Edmunds about the older Eclipse a while back. I remember a lot of them saying that they upgraded from a stock 205 to either a 215 or a 225 for better performance moderator_kh 3: So obviously a wider tire gives better performance. badulah: I would not recommend downgrading the size of the tire. stageleft: I know. And that's the main reason Ford went with the special size (215) for the last model year. moderator_kh 3: <--just buys what they recommend at the tire shop. stageleft: But poorer fuel economy. badulah: My fuel consumption has not gone down at all with the wider tires moderator_kh 3: Like, how much worse? A lot, or negligible? stageleft: But I also found out they're the same size BMW uses on their 16x7 inch wheels. badulah: On the way to LR I was getting 31mpg stageleft: So I'm not sure anymore. stageleft: That's highway. moderator_kh 3: yeah, but that's also V6, right? stageleft: I was getting that too. badulah: yeah and around 24/25 city moderator_kh 3: That's about what I am getting in my car, so not bad for a zippy car. stageleft: I can only drive 30mph to work everyday and the airconditioning is killing me. stageleft: on mileage. moderator_kh 3: Oh. How far is it to work? stageleft: About 20-25 miles. badulah: My new job is 2.5 miles from my front door. I LOVE IT!! moderator_kh 3: Same here. Not too bad in the morning, but in the evening when it's trying to break 100 degrees, it's a killer. stageleft: Not too bad. It might be less. I'm not used to measuring distance at such slow speeds. stageleft: stageleft: 2 1/2?!?!?! That's awesome! badulah: Yep!! I clocked it this morning moderator_kh 3: Badulah, get a bike and pay NO gas:) stageleft: No kidding. moderator_kh 3: Not that I would ever be motivated enough to bike to work. badulah: I actually thought about it. stageleft: You'd be going against traffic. moderator_kh 3: There is only so much healthiness I am willing to do. badulah: Parking bites though!!! The lat is TINY and you are forced to park under trees. So tree say and bird crap are major problems badulah: thats tree sap stageleft: So it might be better to bike to work. badulah: oops stageleft: We know. moderator_kh 3: Yeah, but I'll bet that people who are forced to park out in the blistering sun with no shade might think you're lucky. stageleft: LOL! badulah: Yeah and get there all drenched with sweat stageleft: Except for the bird crap part. moderator_kh 3: We are all fluent in typo:) stageleft: They don't offer showers with the DVD player? badulah: They have a locker room with showers, a kitchen, and a lounge stageleft: My excuse is just a small keyboard on this old laptop. stageleft: So what are you complaining about? moderator_kh 3: geez, badulah. You could go in your gym clothes and just get dressed and eat there stageleft: Yeah. moderator_kh 3: I am going to ask my employer if I can do that... come to work in my pajamas and just get ready there. badulah: The manager asked me how many hours I wanted to work this week? I told him I would move in if he would pay me for every hour I was there..... LOL! moderator_kh 3: I could agree to read e-mails while I do it. moderator_kh 3: badulah, are you getting more hours there then? Is it still pretty part-time? badulah: Walk in with your jammies on carrying your blankie and teddy bear badulah: They offered me a full time position as soon as my training is complete moderator_kh 3: How long will that take? badulah: Training is going to take a while though. 36 hours is considered full time, and this week I am working 34 stageleft: Dang. badulah: I should be fully trained by mid September moderator_kh 3: well heck, that's not far off full time. At least you're getting some hours and not like 15 hours/week. stageleft: So, I have to apologize Badman and KH, but I've got to go. My wife's dad and stepmom are in town and I have to go entertain. moderator_kh 3: Well hey, no need to apologize! stageleft: Sorry for cutting out so early ... badulah: and then I will be working the 7am - 7pm shift three days a week. Full time operators work a 12 hour a day schedule, three days a week. We get a total of 15 days off per month moderator_kh 3: Entertain them, take them for wild ride in the cat. badulah: Later Lefty!! stageleft: I WANT to stay ... you don't under stand. I guess if I called them my "in-laws" that would make more sense. stageleft: Later y'all! moderator_kh 3: he he.. badulah: Later~!! stageleft: Have fun! I look forward to reading the transcript .... badulah: Now we can talk about him behind his back moderator_kh 3: That's a great schedule, actually. moderator_kh 3: giggle. moderator_kh 3: And we'll edit it right out:) badulah: A lot of Police Departments work that schedule moderator_kh 3: When my sister first became a nurse, she had the same schedule, only at night, and loved all the time off. badulah: Yeah 15 days off a month is GREAT!! and there is a lot of OT available badulah: The base pay isn't so great, so I will need some OT moderator_kh 3: So when you're not doing anything, it will be pretty easy to pick up extra hours, and more importantly extra $$ badulah: yep badulah: These chat sessions are starting to get me down. I have tried to advertise, but it never helps moderator_kh 3: Well, it's good you're making this career move now. badulah: maybe we need to pick a better night? moderator_kh 3: Well, are you getting any interest from people that would indicate they'd be interested if it were on another night? badulah: Yeah, and maybe a little later so the west coast people could join us badulah: they are still at work moderator_kh 3: Listen, why don't you check with your members and see what kind of interest there is if we move the chat, and I'll mention it to Dana and see if she has any ideas. badulah: Ok, i'll post it and email it out badulah: hopefully someone will have some ideas moderator_kh 3: Well, I will definitely put it in my chat report that we need to think of another idea. badulah: Thanks!! We appreciate the help moderator_kh 3: Now, you have another event coming up, right? badulah: Yeah there is. We had 20 people show up at Lime Rock park. moderator_kh 3: in Michigan. badulah: Cougar Fest is the national event for all Cougar Clubs / owners. July 27th & 28th moderator_kh 3: Well heck! You should make yourself business cards with the CSG URL on them. badulah: the CSG is also planning another road trip to NC Speedway in September to show our support for Capaldi Racing (again) badulah: We are going to. We sold shirts at least years event moderator_kh 3: That's a loooong way from you. badulah: about 12 hours. No further than Michigan badulah: at least I don't think so moderator_kh 3: Oh. I'd have thought it were further. badulah: maybe it is. I will crash at Leftys house for a night on the way down moderator_kh 3: Driving down together? badulah: and on the way back badulah: I will meet him and then caravan with everyone from there badulah: So far 5 of us are interested moderator_kh 3: OK, I guess it's time to shut down in here. I'll let you know what I hear re: chat ideas. badulah: Myself, Lefty, BKJPrince, and Fastback2 badulah: Ok, have a good night KH!! moderator_kh 3: You too! |
