Sounds like Mitsubishi has done a lot of improvement.
I remember owning a Mitsu a while back, man lots of problem.

Since you have kept your 01 HL for a few years, you probably know how good or bad it is. Wondering a few years later, how's your experience with Endeavor.

I certainly wish you luck with your Endeavor, but have you checked the trade in value on Mitsubishi vehicles lately.

Bought my Endeavor XLS with sunroof, fog lights and Infinity 6 disc changer and 300 watt amplifier for $22,000.00 The vehicle had 6,000 miles when I purchased it off lease. Have a bumper to bumper waranty from Mitsubishi which cost $600.00 and is 0 dedectuable. The waranty is for seven years or 100,000 miles.

My Highlander cost $30,000.00 I have 30,000 on it and can now get $20,000. I still think I will take the Endeavor.

Bought for my children a 2002 4-Runner Limited and a 2000 Rav-4 we love them can not say the same the same about our Highlander or a 2003 Camary SE we bought last year. My son and daughter-in-law reside in rural New Hampshire and take the 4-Runner and Rav-4 everywhere by necessity. These vehicles have close to 75,000 on them with no real problems. I have the Highlander which I dislike because of the brake system and the Camary SE because of the suspension system.

I also believe that Mitsubishi's service is far superior to Toyota's. We have tried three Philadelphia area Toyota dealer service departments and are extremely disappointed.

But only time will tell regarding the true integrity of the Endeavor.

The 2004 3.3 V6 requires Premium gas (I believe the earlier 3.0s do too). Anyway, if you drive 12,000 miles a year and get 20 mpg (which I get in my AWD V6 with a mix of city and highway driving), that comes out to 600 gallons of fuel a year. Multiply that by the difference between regular and premium gas. Around here, that difference is just $0.17/gallon. So for just $102 more per year, I can put the fuel that the engine is designed for, not just what it could run on if it retards the timing, etc. And if you can achieve just an additional 1 mpg (meaning 19 mpg on regular), the difference is more like $40 more per year. Money well spent in my book.

I have an 03 v6 and I don't use premium gas. I tried it on a 420 mile trip and I couldn't detect any difference in the performance or any increase in the miles per gal. If you look on the internet you can find articals that state premium gas is not good for any vehicle other than the muscle cars that have a lot of horse power.
Given that I'm not harming my engine and the fact that the oil companies profits have increased by 50 percent Im not about to pay any thing more for a gal of gas than is nessary.

Highlander Seat Belts by danmark7777

My 2004 Highlander driver side seat belt tension is too tight. The dealer has let me compare it to other Highlanders on the lot and unfortunately it's the same on all of them. I've never had this kind of problem with any vehicle before. It is so bad that I'm considering trading it in with only 1200 miles on it. Has anyone else had this problem... better yet, anyone know how to fix it?

Rattling/Clanking from front wheels by thoon

Have any of you noticed a rattling or clanking sound coming from the front of your highlander? I recently noticed that if I drove over those plastic reflectors on the roads at 35mph with the windows down I hear a clanking sound. I hear it when I drove over the bumps with both the left or right tire, but it noise goes away when I press the brakes. I took my car to my dealer and they said that it was the brake pads. The Tech explained it was normal for highlanders and that the pads float inside the calipers so when you run over a bump, the pads rattle inside the calipers. He said he test drove at least 4 cars that made the sound. But my parent's cars all have disc brakes and they don't make the noise.
Also, is it possible to get my car replaced under the lemon law if I bought my car in VA last year, but I now live in CA? Would I have to go through the dealer I bought my car from or can I go to my local dealer?
