A national newspaper is looking to speak to consumers who recently purchased or leased a new vehicle because of a good deal they found, whether it was low APR (financing), lease specials, rebates or other incentives. Please respond no later than Feb. 19 with your daytime contact information to Chintan Talati at ctalatiedmunds.com.

2008 Audi A4 2.0T Purchase Prices? by sxg

I am looking to buy a 2008 A4 2.0T whose MSRP is listed at $33,550. It is a Quattro with little or no extras. What's a good price that I should expect to pay? I am in Charlotte, NC and there's only one Audi dealer here.

I also bought at Audi of Charlotte. They were very laid back. I simply used Edmunds pricing and dropped the price a few hundred dollars lower and they accepted it. I would suggest trying to get them to throw the cost of the maintenence plan in with the car price to seal the deal. It is about $500 and seems to be worth the cost. BTW, I just had my 25K mile service and so far I haven't had a single issue with the car. And this dealership experience has been great. They give my a loaner car every scheduled service. I have a manual transmission and they gave me an automatic A4 loaner last time so I could see if I liked it. I never drove an A4 automatic before. I still prefer a manual and probably always will ;0)

Thanks. When you say you used Edmunds pricing and dropped the price by a few hundred, is that off the MSRP quoted by Audi of Charlotte? Doesn't sound like too much off the MSRP!

I am also a manual tranny guy and plan to driving manuals as long as they keep making them...

No, I think I ended up paying about $700 over invoice. I just used the Edmunds TMV price as a guideline, which is apparently an average of what most people end up paying. If you can't get them as low as you want you may want to try to get them to throw the service contract into the deal. Some people have had some success with that. Keep us posted!

A4 2.0T Quattro offer by nygxdriver

I am looking to for a new car (already an Audi owner of a 2007 Q7) primarily to be a station car but I also want something which is fun to drive for the weekends. I have been looking at the Infiniti G35x and the BMW 328Xi in addition to the Audi A4 2.0 Quattro. My dealer called me today and said he had a new 2008 2.0T Quattro in Brilliant Red with Beige leather, Premium package,Heated Seats,Bluetooth, Ipod and Birch wood inlays. I figured the MSRP to be $35,525. the offer was 33K. I figure with the new 2009s supposed to be coming in I might be able to get a little more off. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

We paid $455 over invoice (2008 A4 Quattro, A/T, premium paint, heated seats, premium package), but we do have competition in our area, and we did negotiate with three dealers at the same time. We also received a $125 restaurant gift card for starting the deal on the internet. Worked out perfectly for our wedding anniversery dinner. Internet made the negotiations quick and easy.

According to Edmunds the invoice is about 33,106 (i had to estimate it because for whatever reason they don't have the premium package listed as an option so i used $800 for the invoice price) so this deal is about 100 less then invoice. Have you seen the brilliant red? I havent seen it live yet so I'm worried i might not like it. I'm sure as we get closer to spring the deals will keep getting better as they are going to be getting the new A4s soon. I still am probably going to take this deal if i can get him to throw in Audi Care.

Looking to lease (36 mo, 12K mi) an A4 Avant 3.2 with convenience, bluetooth, and ipod. Have sent a starting price offer to two dealers for 39K. Anyone getting close to that these days? Also, carman, do you know the current money factor that audi is using in IL?

Thanks.
