Should I be in there offering 34200? Thanks Dittykb

I may be ordering a 2008 A4 3.2 Quattro automatic. (We much prefer the 6 cylinder over the 4.) The only add-ons are the automatic transmission and the rear side air bags. MSRP with destination charge is $39,525. I'm buying not leasing and am thinking $38k. (I'll start with a lower price offer than that. I'm thinking it could end up at $38k.) Thoughts? Suggestions? I've never ordered a car before since in previous car purchases we've been lucky to find what we've wanted on a lot. |

I made the drive from over from SC and bought a 2007 A4 at Jim Ellis ATL (they also have a dealer in Marietta). I may have left a little bit on the table, but I'm comfortable with the price I paid and I got the car in the color combination I wanted: Specifics: A4 Quattro Black/Beige 98 miles on the odometer Premium Package Convenience Package Navigation System Sticker: $37,315 Paid : $32,000 Doc Fee: $ 400 $32,400 + SC tax ($300) & License If anyone is considering purchasing one, they still have quite a few left (one of which is a silver with black premium, convenience, heated seats) that has apparently been on the lot for quite a while. They really wanted to deal on that car but it's not my favorite color combo and it has 1,000 miles on it. I'm not sure when Audi had a price increase (I'm assuming it was on the destination charge), but several cars I priced using Edmunds were off by about $55 too low. That could be a good tool to use to determine how desperate they are to unload a car. There were two CVT's with premium and convenience at the Marietta dealer that were pre price increase that I would have gone after had this deal not worked out. I figure that 6K off of those wouldn't be out of the question. Hope this helps someone out! BTW, so far I love the car! (it's a little more comfortable than my Miata |

A reporter from a national newspaper is hoping to talk to consumers who have been shopping for a European vehicle (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi or others) and have found them to be more expensive because of the Euro exchange rates. Please reply to ctalati |

I went to test drive today for a 2008 A4 sedan. Quite impressive with the car except a little pricey. 2.0T CVT Deep blue Premium package Sticker price: $32k Invoice: $30500 Dealer won't get much lower on invoice price. Anybody bought 08 A4 recently? What should I expect to pay for purchase?
