24 months 12k miles/year

Money Factor 0.00189
Residual 75%

I think this is right, as you can see for whatever reason they were pretty aggressive on the discount, but wouldn't do the Audi Finance Buy Rate. I think this is what bugs me more than anything, I'd have rathered less of discount and the buy rate. In the end I don't think it's a bad deal, I think had the car been on the lot I might have been able to get it for $10 or $20 bucks a month less. Basically this is $1100 over invoice plus an extra $600 or so on the backend from the higher finance rate.
This was at Stevens Creek Audi, San Jose. Recent posts on the lease forums suggest Carlsen, Palo Alto might be more aggressive.

I did get the car out for a run in the mountains and it is simply a blast to drive. You can drive it much deeper into the hairpins than I ever would have dared in my 2003 A4. The extra power means you can really accelerate hard out of the turns, in some cases the tires will actually loosen up if you apply too much pedal. The 1.8 wouldn't do that. I'm also starting to appreciate the tuning of the exhaust, it's quite nice. Personally I don't find the Sport Suspension too harsh, but you do feel the road.

As well, I give two thumbs up for the Icelink Plus Ipod adapter. It's too bad the Audi radio can't display ID tags.

There's no aux port on the Audi radio?

How much did Best Buy charge for the Icelink, installation included?

Do you have the new iPod models? Does Icelink already support the latest or do just any dock connector work?

The Icelink adaptor connects to the back of the radio using the external CD Changer. I'm not sure if it will work with either Sat radio (if you use it) or the Nav system. At the moment I think it supports most of the Ipod models except maybe the newest video ones. I was concerned about my 30GB Photo Ipod fitting the dock correctly, but it seems fine. Bestbuy charges $50 for the install, but after setting up my appointment and reading the install instructions I was tempted to just go and buy the radio removal tools and do it myself as it looked pretty easy.

Traded an E320 (Great car, but too, way too many issues. Could not go back to a Benz, but that is for another board)... Going the simpler route, it is my 1st lease.

2006, A4 2.0, Quattro, Sunroof, Leather seats, 17" Wheels, and heated seats. (Did not get the Premium Package).

400.00 A Month
1200.00 Outlay (Includes 1st month payment).
12,000 Miles a year
2 Year lease.

Nice salesperson, deal and lunch done in 2 hours 45 minutes.

(Expected $350.00 turn in fee).

I had a 1984 Audi 4000 and that car was light and agile. While I realize that all the power and safety equipment adds weight, most 1990s cars were not agile or tight (except perhaps BMWs). I have not liked many cars as much as that 4000, But the 2006 is definitely really nimble.

Thanks for that info that the money factor is set by the dealer, not AFS. So, the dealer can take the AFS number but does not have to. I did not know that important point and ... of course, the sales person did not mention that. He just said, I can't promise any lease rates now, as AFS may change them. Er, well, his statement was sort of accurate but was not full disclosure either.

Buying an A4 2.0T 2005.5 by ask2

I am considering purchasing an A4 2.0T 2005.5 from the dealer (the last one on the lot). It has the following specs:

Quattro
Packages: Premium, sport, audio, lighting
Options: Nav, headlight washers

The lowest price I can get him to is $34K + T's. This is $5200 below MSRP. Does that seem like a reasonable price?

Thanks...

That is an awesome deal and that is why its the last one on the lot. That is probably a negative deal for the dealer. More than fair. You can not even get close on a sales price on 2006. Enjoy your AUDI!

Thanks for your honest opinion -- I am leaning toward the A4 2.0T 2005.5. This is the last one on the dealer's lot and has the following specs:

Quattro
Packages: Premium, sport, audio, lighting
Options: Nav, headlight washers

The lowest price I can get them to is $34K + T's. This is $5200 below MSRP. I don't know if you just deal with VW or also Audi but thought I would ask if this is a reasonable price anyway...

Thanks...

what is the MSRP? Is it a tip or stick, what color? Are you paying cash or financing? Email me and I'll get you the goods....however the number sounds about right. I think theres 2000 back on an 05.5 2.oT. Looks to me like they're selling you the car at cost.
