I compiled a few stats on June's Cdn numbers from the newswire...   AJAX, ON, July 2 /CNW/ - Audi Canada achieves best first half ever:       - 1106 units represent best June in Audi Canada history     - 52% ahead of June '08 sales     - Year to date sales up by 17%   Audi Canada today reported that 1106 units were registered for the month of June. The leading models in terms of sales were the A4 and A4 Avants, the all-new Audi Q5, the Audi Q7 and the A3.   Other stats about June's numbers (all #s compared to June 2008; Source: CBC.ca, Thursday, July 2, 2009 | 5:22 PM ET):   - Volkswagen sales were the highest in nine years, up 15.8% - Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. up 26 % - Kia Canada sales up 37.9 % - Nissan (incl. Infiniti) up 3.5% - Honda sales down 20 % - Toyota down 17% (incl. Lexus) - Chrysler down "more than 50 %" - Ford cars down, but truck sales surging 36 % - GM's car sales down almost 40 per cent, and truck sales down 20 %

It depends a lot on the incentives that the dealer is getting from Audi and how quick they want to sell the car (influenced by how long its been on the lot, when the new models will be coming in etc etc). So keep trying until you are satisfied. I think I made up a number which I thought would be a good price for me (trying to be real in terms of what the dealer can afford to go down to).   My advice is shop around at several dealers and also look online. I just got my car about a month and a half ago- an Audi A4 2009. I looked at all the prices that Edmunds listed (TMV vs. Inventory, etc...) I went to Rusnak dealership in Pasadena, CA and was able to get below Inventory price plus fees on a premium plus package with navigation, the ipod connector and a color upgrade to the paint. I paid cash so I have no idea about financing.   As far as service, unfortunately I know how this is already. I had a problem already. They have fixed my car and had it back to me in a matter of days each time it was in the shop. They paid for my rental car (a Mercedes or better each time) and have detailed my car for free. They were not as accomodating until I had to lay into them for various reasons- 1) some punk working there nearly ran me over in my car, 2) they just cleared the fault and did no work 2 times ago which required me to come back this last time. I'm hoping that the problem is fixed now, though, and I don't have to keep running in there every couple of weeks. My local Audi dealership has been the best experience in all the different cars I have owned, including BMW. Unfortunately I will not take my car back there unless it needs something "involved". The prices for the mileage based checkups and oil changes are too high, considering they really don't do anything to the car. I must also say the car has been absolutely bulletproof for 3 years. I think it took me raising hell the last time to get them to take me seriously (maybe bc I'm a girl) but they got the message.   My new bf is a mechanic, though, so I think that by him calling in as well having self diagnosed the problem, that made them think about how they are going to treat my car. They did keep it for a few days to take their time with it and they said it was with a senior technician, who has 20+ years in the business. So I hope that the repair stays fixed.

Can someone let me know if this quote sounds fine...or should this be negotiated further down ?   Ibis white color 2009 A4 quattro 4 dr Sedan ( premium pkg + ( options : Bluetooth, Heated Seats, Ipod connectivity, 6 CD changer,wood trim) .. Some have posted that theirs for close to $1500 under invoice, but I'd take that with a grain of salt. While it may be true, I wouldn't be surprised if some people exaggerated. While Audi doesn't always have customer rebates, lately they have had cash to dealer rebates which can and often do pass on to the customer.   Don't forget that the amount that you pay may differ from what other people are getting because of competition in your area. People in southern CA or NY city have lots of Audi dealerships near by and get better deals than those who's dealership is a few hours drive.

Replying to: ilikeike (Jul 15, 2009 10:32 pm) Couple things to note: first, TMV is a moving target. It gets updated (a bit of a lag IMHO) as sales data flows through. I got my Avant in late May and have the Edmunds.com TMV price report printout as of 5/21 right in front of me. MSRP says $40,150, Invoice shows $37,500 and TMV = $37,600. I got mine for $36,000.   That said, I did another TMV as of 2 minutes ago and guess what? Avant + Premium Package + Metallic paint and a few other small options (same configuration as of 5/21) is now $35,250! That's less than 2 months ago and now it looks like I paid $750 OVER TMV rather than $1,600 under. If I said I could get the car for $1,500 under TMV TODAY, that would indeed be an impressive deal and would price the car at $33,750. Time should be factored into your research since TMV moves around (and by quite a bit as of lately).   So could I have done better? I dunno. I also got $1,000 cash back (after the $36,000) and my first two payments paid for. Did others get similar deals? TMV won't show that.   Don't try and read too much into these things...you'll just go crazy saying "what if?" Stop looking at these forums and enjoy the car...
