Been trying to answer but my computer doesn't like this site????You got a good deal on your Kia. You paid 1/2 of what I paid for the same car new. I've only had to change oil and filters. The window did fall into the door and had to be repaired but that was at no charge. Wish you well with your Kia. Oh, due to the car being so low, I finally lost the plate that was under the car - I assume to keep moisture and dirt out of the engine? iT WAS DRAGGING FOR A few days and a neighbor took pity on me and removed it. Hope its not one of those things that you "have" to have.

Does anyone know why the car is so low in the front? I have to be careful or the front hits. Is there a way to make it higher?I have a 2004.

Like maybe the Kia owners have little to say because they have little to complain about???Could that be it? My mileage is hard to decipher because I do mostly city driving with lots of stop and go. It is noisy on the open road - but so was my GrandAm and Olds. There were probably not two coats of paint on the outside - a primer and then the color - I know this by the scratches other cars leave me. So, what do you want to know about, complain about your Kia? I don't know didly about the motor, all the moving parts. Just turn on the key and let it roll. If it does that I am a happy driver.

I'm thinking you could buy seats from a 2004 or 2005 Rio Cinco and they would fit your 2003 Kia Rio Cinco. You could call a Kia dealer to ask them that specific question and then see about ordering the seats if they do.

Shouldn't be that large of a project, but it sounds like it's worth doing for your driving comfort. It also sounds like one I'd attempt to do myself to save some money, too.

stirring the pot by sknipster
Apr 13, 2006 (7:53 am)
well, that stirred up a few people,, serious,, My wife loves the cinco,,She is proud of it and brags to her fellow church-goers, after all these years,(aerostar, contour, escort, pontiac, & mazda, others) This is is HER car,, all the others were mine.. I just get on here, cause maybe what happens to the cinco happened to other people and they got a solution to it,, therefor I don't have to look like an idiot when i walk into dealer, and say, it's making a thumpity-thump under the middle rear end,,, cause, i already know answer thanks to other people,.. Thanking Y'all now for any help in the future.

Buy a Kia but stay away from the dealership by wruple
Apr 25, 2006 (11:44 am)
I've had one Kia (marketed by Ford as the Festiva) and now another (marketed by Ford as the Aspire)and have had no problems. The first one, I put over 300,000 miles on before I finally sold it for $500 and a couple of years later I saw someone still driving it. All I ever did was keep the oil changed and replace some break pads and a CV joint. I regret selling it. I also had a fuel pump go out on me. This second vehicle now has 145,000 miles and still no problems but needs a CV joint. I don't think you could get those high miles out of a Ford without some "fix or repair daily" problems. A few years back I bought a new Kia Sephia from a Kia dealer in Birmingham, Alabama. I drove the car for three or four months, bought insurance but kept waiting on them to provide the paper work for a tag and address to send my payments. They kept making excuses and then one day I got a letter saying my credit could not be approved after several months and to please return the car! I later heard similar horror stories concerning their dealerships and wild claims (buy one get one free bs) and their in-house financing. I recommend Kia highly, just get a good used one and stay off their dealership lots and their mountains of bs.
