"Purchased a 2008 Toyota Sequoia 2WD Limited last night at one of the dealerships in Charlotte, NC for $250 over invoice, no doc fees. Purchased the TFS Plantinum extended warranty (6yr/100,000/0ded) from a dealership in the Kansas City area for $740. Easiest vehicle purchase I've ever made. One hour at the dealership and one email for the ext warranty. A number of Sequoias sitting on the dealer lots. I think this is a decent deal without much effort."

Can you share the name of the dealer. I am local in Charlotte. Tks.

It is possible to get close to Invoice on Toyota Sequoia. I use buying clubs. Some clubs have negotiated deals close to invoice on Toyota's. Most dealerships will be willing to work with you if they know you can get Invoice at another dealer to earn your business. I had a dealer in Colorado who would do invoice, but also found a couple in Texas who were willing to match. I'm not mentioning names at this time of dealerships or buying clubs, since I have not yet took delivery of my vehicle.

Sequoia Pricing by racedude25

Ordered a 2008 Sequoia 4WD Limited, MSRP at $53445, contract at $47726, includes doc fees, no tax, title, tags included. Will receive the vehicle in 4 weeks. They are made in Princeton, IN.

Dealership in Cincinnati has 23 Sequoia's on the lot, 10 limiteds and 1 platinum plus SR5's. That's about .89 of MSRP. Every vehicle is marked by the % over dealer invoice 0% to 4%. Showed me their invoice and we agreed on $500 over that. Have bought at the dealership before, easy to deal with. Many times they dont charge for my oil changes. I will be eligible for any rebates that are on before I take delivery.

Dealerships do receive other incentives beyond what has been discussed - dealer rebate and whse finance for volume selling cars which is why they sell at dealer invoice at times. Four other area dealerships prices were $1 - $2K below MSRP, a joke and I told them that.

racingdude...congratulations $500 over factory invoice is a great deal. I think we're likely to see more dealers offerring selling prices between factory invoice and $1000 over, but there will still be many dealers that will stick closer to MSRP only because the vast majority of consumers don't use websites like this to better understand what a fair price is. I guess that helps dealers to keep rolling in high margin deals to pay for the knowledgable buyers.

I ended up ordering an 08 Armada for several reasons but did drive a Sequoia overnight. Ended up getting an offer from the sales manager for $300 over invoice including a 7 year extended warranty. Tax, title, doc fee (~500) extra. So, I definately agree that if you're interested in the Sequoia, you can definately get it for close to invoice.

pulmcc, I'd be curious in hearing why you ended up with the Armada over the Sequoia. I'm kinda considering both, and would probably end up with the one that came closest to my price I'm willing to pay per month. It seems like I might be able to get there more easily on the Armada because of the increase incentives they seem to have now-a-days.
