I have a 02' that started making this noise in the front about 2 years ago (when the car was 2 years/18000 miles) and i have taken the car to the dealer about 4 times and they couldn't find the noise. It is some sort click/vibration that ONLY occurs when power is transfered to the wheels. If you take off hard, it gets loud enough to feel and hear it. So the after 4 times at the dealer they finally started to hear it, along with a creaking noise coming out of the pedal (probably some lubrication issue). They changed the engine mount, strouts, and master clutch cilinder. So i pick up the car, and there it is again!, so i brink it right back, and they check and look and the stethoscope and all, and they found the catalitic converter (what???) to be defective, as well as other engine mount that they didn't change originally. So they test the car, and the noise is still there.... Now they are changing the rack and pinion, but it is my guess that it won't cut it.... Has anybody here experience this noise?, and i'm not talking about the click/vibration at the steering wheel when parking, this is another.... Please let me know. |

I would be willing to bet that by the time the 2005 was released, most problems were taken care of. But my 2002 was loaded with them. It was a great car, but had so many issues that I didn't trust it out of warranty - so I sold it. |

I only had 2 minor problems. But I felt I had a major one coming on. Good part about selling it though was that I only lost about $4000 in 2 year or so and 40K miles. I was pleased. The person that buught it promply burned out the clutch and killed two CV axles. Go figure. |

If I felt that the car would hold together for another 3-5 years (which I expect for a Civic) - I would have kept it for a long time. But instead bought a clearance 05 Miata. Now my automotive problems are restricted to my 1990 Swift GT - can NOT keep it running!!! |

| Isn't that the one with the "hot" 16 valve engine? I really wanted one of those back in the day. Good luck keeping it running. It brings back memories of my FX16's. | |

| It was a lot of fun to drive for a while, but things have gone a little haywire since then. I still really want one, but I think I'm going to sell this one and try to find one without as many issues. | |

Ok, so after changing a LOT of parts, that noise from hell is over!!!. Apparently what did the trick was in the steering system, the front rack, and now my car is noise free!!!
